Just had a stray cat birth a kitten with one foot missing. He's called pumpy. So he's just started to roam, and he doesn't like to walk on the floor only soft blanket. He stops at the edge. I think I might use a thumb bandage and some foam. Great to see the little on thrive. 💕
I have a kitty just like Wyatt! I am having issues with his little nubs cracking. He insists on getting in his litter box.I use super soft Okocat litter for him. But when his nubs are tender,I know it has to be so uncomfortable. Can you give me any pointers? I can't bandage because he retracts his little leg in and bandages come right off.
Wyatt pulled the leg back in as well so I kept putting a little bit of antibacterial ointment on several times a day to keep it softened. Do keep an eye on it because if the nub forms a blister and pops or a crack opens it can easily get infected. I also kept him off the hardwood floors when the nub was particularly tender. I hope little Wyatt keeps feeling better. They have all grown so much since the first video. Little Miss Calamity Jane is identical to the last calico I had . I hope Wyatt's prosthesis fitting goes well. I hope he has his new prosthetics soon. Take care !
Wow ! Little Wyatt is growing up so fast. He is really getting good with his climbing. I have seen people do amazing things with 3D printers when it comes to making prosthetics. I hope someone can one day make something for little Wyatt . I am taking care of a cripple chicken that has a deformed leg. I couldn't think of putting her down when she has such a fighting spirit and determination like little Wyatt does. She does things differently than her 4 sisters but can still do everything they can. Her living separately in an dog kennel she has become quite spoiled and demanding earning the name Diva from my daughter. Merry Christmas to you Deb and the kitties !

He is getting so good with the speeding across the couch. A pair of non slip booties or socks might help with the slick floors and litterbox problems. Something like the little shoes they usually put on the porcelain dolls. I used to buy them for my daughters dolls when she was little and would loose her doll shoes. It would probably help keep his legs from cracking and bleeding . I hope Wyatt's future home will adopt one of his brothers or sisters with him. Deb you are doing a great job with him and his siblings and I know you will miss him when it's time for them to go to their new homes. Take care !
He is a treat to watch. It might take him a little longer to figure out what his way of doing something is but when he does he is on his way. He is determined to do exactly what his brothers and sisters are doing. He will make someone a wonderful pet hopefully along with one of his siblings. They will give the new owners love , companionship and loads of entertainment with all of their antics. I know you will miss them a lot . Take care and God bless!
Wyatt is adorable. He's a real trooper! Thank you for all you do fostering those adorable kittens. I've been a foster mom myself, so I know how much work you put in taking care of those babies. At one point I was bottle feeding 7 orphaned kittens from the day they were born. I lost four, two were adopted, and we kept one. His name is Percy. He had some intestinal and anal gland issues, so we decided to keep him. He's three years old now & thinks he's the Alpha Male. He's the youngest of our four adopted cats. I'm a typical crazy cat lady! Thanks again for all your hard work and devotion to these precious babies.
