Shortwave is not like AM or FM tuning, and requires a long wire/antenna to draw signals. Clip the alligator clip to the pullout antenna and toss the wire up onto a high tree limb. This is not exactly an entry-level radio; mainly a portable unit.
After testing three KLIM CD players I believe them to be a company that knows and cares about the product category. I'd be shocked if it was anything less than awesome. Thanks for watching!
My stereo paired mono soundlink flex speakers are still a near audiophile experience A major YES to this $400 120 watts powerhouse but I'll wait until pairing mode is released so I can spend $800 for 2 speakers 🔊 🔊
Im a bose fan but soundcore products are awesome i have the boom 2,soincore motion, and select pro. I ditched my soundflex, mini, and my sountouch for soundcore products. They are cheaper but sound quality they are awesome.
I appreciate your review. I wonder if you know a fix for this problem. When playing a CD the display alternates every 5 seconds between showing the track number and the number of minutes and seconds elapsed. It’s annoying. I only want it to show the track number. If you actually have the unit and can play a CD, maybe you could tell me if you know a fix for this problem
Damnit, I have so many expenses right now I can't really afford another purchase like this, but now I "need" it! Maybe I'll just get it anyways... ;) In terms of low base in small format, Audio Pro is a brand that tend to do that. I've had a T9 for probably 10 years or so, but it seems to have stopped working recently (and it's slightly bigger, narrow sound stage and no battery). Think it's specced to go down to 45Hz, which is impressive for its size, but I bet this Bose Soundlink Max does something similar.
I couldn't find any specs on the Bose, but while running a bass frequency sweep I think it kicked-in around 30Hz. I have a 15" sub on my main system and that is better of course, but for its size, the Soundlink Max has outstanding low frequency response. As for justifying another purchase, we all have a birthday coming up, right? ;)
I bought a Bose sound link 2 years ago assuming it would sound good…. It was horrible!! I spent a lot on it for bt speaker and it was a total mess. I gave it away then bought a jbl flip for a fraction of the cost of the Bose and it sounded great. Bose is crap, they get by on past reputation but there’s no substance.
The sound is very good. My only issue right now is not being able to stereo pair it. They say it's coming, but Bose tends to drag it's feet on stuff like that.
I’m not saying that this speaker sounds better than the Bose, but overall is a much better value for what it offers compared to the Bose, at a much more affordable price of $129.99. Right now it’s on sale on Amazon for$109.99. The Soundcore Boom 2.
That’s the rub…how does it compare to other speakers? At 4x the cost and 3x the size of my JBL Flip 5-which still amazes me-does it delivers 4x the audio experience? Like much in tech life it probably boils down to the use-case. If the use-case includes “will almost certainly get you laid” then I may get out credit card. Otherwise I am hard-pressed to want to see the value proposition.
You are soooooo right !!! I made a compulsive purchase and its better than the Middleton and all others in this size. They could come down with the price a bit. This is now my new travel speaker. Very Impressive Sound !!!
If you plan on using it inside only, sure. For outdoor use, there’s better & cheaper options for the money being spent. For around the same price, you can get the EXTREME 4 which was made & designed specifically for outdoor use.
Between the S32 Pro and the S53 which would you say is the better sound, better bass, better battery and better value overall, if they were the same price? Could you do a comparison between them?
Have you tried leaving the earphone plugged in and then run fm radio over Bluetooth? Or plug the earphone in after the Bluetooth and fm radio setup. In the PDF file it says to setup radio first and then connect Bluetooth headphone. The last device connected becomes the output for radio. The wired earphone must be connected to provide antenna to radio. I don't even own this and I'm showing you how to do it.
Hi, I purchased this device as an audiobook player. I got it for $41. For that price, I understand the lesser hardware. I was using a Samsung S10e for book and music listening but the cost including battery replacement was becoming prohibitive. The Diofox is much smaller and cheaper. I like to use a BT earbud and a wired earbud with remote simultaneously. I listen via the BT earbud and use the remote for volume control, track switching, and play/pause. Not all Android devices support wired remote control. Smartphones generally support a wired microphone and other wired functions (Samsung, Motorola, IPhone). There are many larger, more powerful Android devices on Amazon, but they approach the S10e in size and price. You can buy an Ebay refurbished S10e for less than $90. The S10e provides support for wired earbuds with remote, micro sd cards, 128gb internal storage, Android 12, 6GB internal RAM, and Snapdragon 855. I daresay that only expensive devices with high end audio chips would be a competitive choice.
Valid points. I do consider price to some degree, but even when you are willing to compromise the user experience for affordability, it is still important to know what you can expect. And prices change frequently due to competition and currency fluctuations. Thanks for the comment!
You might live in a "radioshadow" area, i dont know the proper word in english,, IF you live in shadow, it doesnt help whatever radio you have, only propably a very long wire antenna, like the one you got with the radio, but about a 100times longer!!, - Levi in Sweden
I tried a different radio and stood outside. I was able to pick up three channels. But I think you are correct. I know a couple of HAM radio operators and their antennas are huge.
I just got this. Tested it out with a podcast, but it doesn't remember playback position. Can it be set up to automatically remember playback position? That's a huge flaw if it doesn't.
@@BoxesUponBoxesReviews Thanks for the suggestion. Here's what happened. I put it in audibook folder, it saved position as I went in and out, but then when I shut if off and powered up, it reset. But then I tested it again, but this time after powering up I'd go to "Now Playing", and it's remembered the position. Tried it a couple times, and every time power up go to Now Playing, it remembers playback.
Nice, waterproof and water resistant are use very loosely now days. Not all TF card slots are treated equally. Some TF slots can play different folders with a combination of button press and some just play root folder. I now just use an mp3 player, because I rather have local music vs streaming music. 🙂💪👊 #makemp3playersgreatagain
Not on camera, no. Off camera, yes. A recorded sound test would be compromised by the microphone, video encoding algorithm, RU-vid compression, and your playback device. No point.
I will say there's one little annoyance in that when you may be listening to a song and intend on still listening to that song but want to browse some other songs at the same time, it won't show the little speaker indicating playing now. You have to go all the way back to the "Now Playing" to figure out where you were if you were looking out other folders in the meantime.
Obviously I can't expect EVERYTHING to be a carbon copy of my old Ipod Classic, but the only other thing apart from the lesser volume is that you can't lock the thing so there's no accidental touches/clicks to accidentally change the song, luckily I haven't had one thus far though.
Yeah so, just more or less did it then, was listening to a song and wanted to then go back to the upper folder to see what songs were on the album, but then you want to get back to your "now playing" song, and you'll click on it and make it start again. But yeah, as I said apart from those grievances the thing's alright. Kinda tempted to mod my old ipod though haha
