It might be useful for people to know that mid-distance or arms length sight is used for organ playing. I just had my vision tested, and ordered a pair of mid-distance glasses instead of bifocals for organ playing.
I play piano for a church and they have been wanting me to start playing their beautiful organ, but I didn’t know where to start. Thank you for these videos, suddenly it makes much more sense! Do you have any recommendations for music that I can get started on? As easy as possible 😂 I would really appreciate your recommendation, and thank you again!
Hi! Thank you for your response and I’m so glad the video was helpful! I love the James Kasen prelude and postlude books which you can find online at jackmansmusic store. Brent Jorgensen is great too and you can also find his books on that same website or at any Deseret bookstore. Brent’s are more simple. Best of luck!
I’m sorry, I didn’t see this message. You can purchase the Organists manual on Amazon or eBay. There are a couple other websites if you just type in the book name, that it will show up.
I just won a bid on an auction for an electric organ. I don't have a clue how to even begin to play it. So thank you for your easy to understand videos. I'm almost 60 so this should be interesting.
