Hi, my existing valve is a couple of inches longer than the newer ones I see advertised. Can I make a shorter valve work using a longer fernco black coupling? Is there an acceptable space between valve ends and sewer pipe that a fernco can connect? In other words, how much space between valve ends and sewer pipe would be too much? Thanks
I saw someone installing primer valves at the cold side angle stop and it’s 10 feet away from the floor drain. It looks like it’s against UPC code from what I looked. I saw that it shouldn’t be installed over 30 inches away from the center of the floor drain or be installed at least 12 inches above it. Am I right?
Do water arrestors go bad? Mine is just dripping water even when the valve is open. Can low pressure in the system cause the arrester to block the water supply?
Too bad it is CHEAP plastic! 43 year union plumber here, how about you guys step it up a little Sioux Chief - Give us a QUALITY lasting product that isn't cheap flimsy plastic! You guys are selling gimmicks.
We value your feedback. We have had plumbers install tens of thousands of these with successful results. We understand if this product is not to your liking, but many do like it.
Thanks for your input. These are brand new to the market and may take a while for plumbing wholesalers to stock. If you ask for them by name they will usually order them. Appreciate your feedback.
I’m glad I came to the comment section to find I’m not stupid and everyone else hates the blank to hammer out. Broke the whole damn thing trying to get it out
My contractor installed one of those white boxes with a white plastic nipple in the bottom. Am I supposed to connect my drain to that somehow or what's it for?
There is a removal tool part #307-616. Instructions for the tool 1. Remove showerhead then shower arm. 2. Remove escutcheon from Shower WallNut. 3. Turn hex head machine screw counter clockwise to pull machined end into removal tool pipe nipple so nipple can screw into WallNut. 4. Thread nipple into WallNut (hand-tight). 5. Turn hex screw clockwise to engage copper tube. 6. Using 7/16" wrench continue turning screw until WallNut has been disengaged from stub out. 7. Discard used WallNut and replace.

Installing a floor drain using your product 832-4HNQ , the slab is the finished floor. Utilizing the square finish fixture, does the coring sleeve need to be set 1/4" below grade for the square finish fixture to be flush with the top of the slab. Thanks for the informative video, would like to see installation of square finish fixture
Thank you for the question. Typically, we don’t see square grates/covers installed where the slab is the finish floor - at least not as often as we see round. Since a Finish Fixture with a square top can’t recess completely into the Coring Sleeve, there’s no ‘FinishLine’ way to install a square grate/cover flush with a slab. If square is an absolute must, you would have to install the Coring Sleeve so it was 5/16” or more below the intended slab level, then install the square-top Finish Fixture (before the slab pour) and finish the slab flush to the square top - like a standard adjustable floor drain/cleanout.
Thank you for the question. If by the 2nd plug, you mean the cleanout plug that’s threaded into the Base Adapter - it would depend on whether the fixture is intended to be a cleanout or a floor drain. If it’s to be a floor drain, the (threaded 3.5” IPS polypro) plug should be removed before the floor drain is put to use. If it’s to be a cleanout, the plug would be removed and thread sealant applied before replacing it in the Base Adapter to prevent sewer gas from escaping the fixture.
You forgot to show us instructions on how to remove that Test Cap for the drain hose. I can not pop it off or twist it without thinking it'll break, even though it says (Test cap removes easily in one piece) well it doesn't. It also didn't come with instructions.
Sorry for the late reply. The box must be installed to the stud or between, with DWV pipe glued to drain box. Then, use a pair of channel lock to squeeze/pinch nipple and roll the cap out by twisting channel locks away from nipple, while pinching it. Bought Ox Box Washing Machine Box that was labeled 1/2” F1807 PEX Connection with MinuRester. They don’t fit 1/2” or 3/4 PEX. Too big for 1/2”, too small for 3/4. Was it packaged wrong? Have all installed but PEX lines and not putting me behind schedule? What am I missing here? Amy help is appreciated.

Can you please make a product feature description, installation and usage demonstration video of your product called : NoPutty™ Gaskets 290-20320PK2 , please ? Thank you.
Nathan, yes, in the video at about 3:45 we state that the valves can be snapped in for supply lines from above or below. So yes, either direction works fine.
Ashely the normal process for cleaning a clogged drain is to remove the strainer. You would then look to see if there is any debris. Many use a hand auger to remove a clog. The best way to be sure it is done right is to hire a licensed plumber.
Damn, I thought this was the bomb until I realized it doesn't have a set screw that locks the spout in place on the copper pipe, so it doesn't rotate. You can tighten the one screw that draws it to the wall as much as you want and possibly break the tile, but the spout still rotates with light pressure. And it leaks a small stream out the spout, no matter how you manipulate the pull. I found pulling the diverter prior to turning on the water leaked the least. Failed!
@@SiouxChiefPRO the sioux strap 1 nail strap. 551-3bk should be code for 3/4 straps. the buckets are the most economical way to buy but are only available in small bags so there are bage to throw away.
@@jamesmatson463 James we understand the buckets are the best packaging. Unfortunately it was the lack of nails for the straps that caused us to get behind. We are cranking out the Sioux Straps as fast as we can now that we have nails. The buckets will be available as soon as we get our backorders covered. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
