That performance of Thomas is fkn unreal. When they finally finish the first extention the drop is stunning! Thats a band in full flight top form at the end of a tour. Epic!
I remember seeing them at the qwest club in Minneapolis August 29th of 2000. The atmosphere of that show was unlike anything I had seen at a concert before or after it. You could't help but let the experience touch your soul. They were so impressive live it actually sounded better than the recording. Miss good small venue shows.
This must’ve been Josh freeze,s first time playing with them live. He messed up some parts. They certainly play Judith at the end. Wonder why that’s cut out. Other then that this is a treasure.
(lyric interpretation) threw you the obvious and you flew with it all the way a name for your recollection down among a million same don’t you you don’t see me, If I never have you never will and you don’t, you don’t, you don’t see don’t see me threw you the obvious just to see if there’s more behind the eyes of a fallen angel eyes of a tragedy don’t you, don’t you think I didn’t see through, I see through I see I see behind I see cause I threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel eyes of a tragedy oh well, oh well apparently nothing apparently nothing at all You don’t, you don’t, you didn’t see me You don’t, you didn’t, you won’t see me You don’t, you wont, you won’t see me You don’t see me anymore
So good to see this. I was there. I still have the guitar pick Billy Howerdel threw during the last song of this Mer de Noms tour which I think was The Hollow. Landed on top of my head, bounced, and fell to the floor. I stomped on it and did not budge until the concert was over. Lifted my foot and there it was.
@@cjnniko as soon as I get a VHS to mp4 converter or find a way to transfer the tape then yes. Over the summer I plan on uploading all my VHS tapes and demos on here
Omg Maynard's lyrics were SO TOOL for Judith back then. Just singular yells, pause, run-on phrases, and something that sounds awful much like "Learn to Swim, learn to Swim!" from Ænima. But the composition is the same.
I went to a Lateralus show in 2002 (I think it was in the summer) at the Forum in LA. Was insane. Maynard came out in a Speedo covered in neon body paint. Grooving on the platform at the back of the stage. He also played the drums (they brought out a little kit for him). Not sure if the show has been uploaded to youtube. But it's worth a watch if you find it!
Then after 2001/2002 Lateralus tour he spent 2003/2004 touring 13th step, (after a well deserved 2005 break) he then spent 2006/2007 touring 10k days, 2007 came Puscifer and throughout all of it he had grapes growin in Arizona because of a f**king dream he had… and I didn’t even graduate from effin high school… Hey, has anyone else noticed that all 3 of his bands names are genitalia references? Yes, A Perfect Circle… I’m lookin at you too. “One womb, one shape, one resolve… slip away and sever this umbilical residue. Keepin me from killin you.”
@CallofCthulhu-wq5gu incorrect 2010 or 2011 I seen him he didn't sound that great but have seen him 3 times with tool and puscifer this yr and sounded incredible
I got to see them on the Laturalus tour after I seen APC open for NIN, both in Philly. Great shows both of them. Hard to pay big dollars to see any lesser band after those 2 shows.
