I would die for that phone holster. In nowadays phones are 7~7.5inch or even bigger. iPhone 15 pro max with military grade full case makes into 8inch size. Im not living in US never been there anyway in my nation, National Gold Vault security officers are considered as government job. Military service experience requires. About duty belt, it depends what company you work. Everyone here, allowed to modify duty belt whatever we like. Im using M4 mag single pouch to holster my 8inch monster phone but it's kinda mystery that no one could figure out what kinda pouch we need for cigarettes pack and lighter. We are not allowed to put anything inside pants pocket at all. So kinda tricky. So we all asked for old radio holster to TL for cigarette packs and its ugly as F and uncomfortable. I wish summer passes so we all could wear vests again. Its oldschool armor vest not mole type. But super comfortable. Pockets well designed especially for smokers. Walkie, 38 revolver, extra 6 rounds, taser type folding baton, PDA, Phone, ID card, handcuffs+key, speaker mic for walkie, wallet, cigarettes and zippo, notepad, pen, painkiller pills (every Goddamn officers has backache), remote, and more all of this shits the vest designed for. No need to wear duty belt beside summer. I really hate summer. We all gotta attach magnetic holster that 2 ways one piece inside shirt and 1 piece surface of shirt. My nipple hurts like hell. Giant police body cam must be running 10 hours shifts. We all got purple mark on the right nipple. Even we all wear soft T-shirt inside long sleeve uniform shirts. Why long sleeves? cuz at patrol everyone complained sun burns. I really really wish summer passes. Always unpredictable raining. At assignment long way amor truck trip, teams on the back they are ok but shotgun sit and driver experiencing pain in the ass. Every time they or me get out, baton taser folding baton stucks when we open door. Units on the back, they are fine all they have to do is lay down sleep with pillows and smoke vapor cuz no CCTV on back of amor truck but in the front. So some smokers carry cigarrets and vapor to reinforce nicotine in long trip when lucky to placed in back of truck.

Your gear is unnecessary as an unarmed guard. Unless your contract/post and Allied Universal all say you can have that gear. That is the only way it would be deemed necessary. Your vest is probably not allowed because it has to be approved by Allied Universal for you to wear, and as mentioned, it also has to be required of you as an armed guard and allowed by the contract. Your handcuffs and pepper spray also have to be approved and allowed by the contract. If they are approved, you still have to take the required classes for both the handcuffs and pepper spray to get certified that you know what you are doing with both. If Allied Universal doesn't provide those classes, you will have to pay out of pocket. If you use either non-lethal force items on somebody. You may be subject to a lawsuit for not being certified or required of you to do so. You can be sued, possibly jail time, or both depending on the severity and the laws in your state. This will also get Allied Universal and the contract both sued and tied up in legal litigation as well. Just be careful. There's a lot more to it than looking cool.

Better advice would be; carry a radio even if no one is in range or on the other end. People don't know you don't have backup nearby. Put a 6 inch flashlight in a pouch so everyone thinks you have a baton. Have an OC spray pouch regardless if you carry one or not. Have handcuff pouches no matter what. If no cuffs put some spare medical gloves in there. Keep the back mostly flat but full pouch duty belt. Now go and watch the video on RU-vid about the art of war documentary. Sun tzu says; when you are weak pretent you are strong. Obviously to determine aggression. Keep working on your skills, wisdom, and equipment youg man. Victory favors the prepared. Yeah the back plate and front plate are not suppose to be at the same height however my carrier was too loose and the back plate was not protecting my vitals. Your right everything that is a tool on your belt you should be trained for, I have been getting personal trainings at different places to recieve certifications. Also have been practicing the use of my equipment on my own time. A lot of people dislike allied haha, I don’t have anything too good to say about the company or too bad it’s about what I expected I do appreciate the co workers I’ve met. Policy says that I’m allowed to carry everything that is legally allowed to be carry by citizens under state law. Minus a firearm (even if I was of legal age and certified to carry one). I just switched from that cheap dollar store pepper spray to a pepper gel by Sabre because of that same concern of back blow

One thing I’ve learned in security. Look at their employees and how they carry themselves in uniform, appearance and professionalism. My first question. Do you guys offer insurance. Then I’d ask the hourly wage and determine if I can afford to live with paying insurance. Second thing I’d ask, what is the retirement plan and is there retirement benefits and a pension. Third thing, how many years til I can retire and receive my retirement pension and funds. As for company wise. I would look into the contracts they have. Do they only have private entities or do they have any government or federal contracts that I can work my way into. If zero government/ federal contracts, I’ll walk out because that speaks a lot for the company. I’d rather work my way into those THEN promote under that capacity. Then I’d ask, are you guys in more than one state and how many government contracts have you lost. Allied, I know lost all in one state. I’m sure others would follow suit in the near future. Just FYI from personal experience. Being armed or unarmed don’t matter or make a difference. What matters is job duties. Most of the time armed guards are just there as a better deterrent than unarmed. I was offered an armed position at a bank a while back. However, it was the duties that came with it. If someone came in and pulled or even fired and hit someone. I was not legally by policy eligible to return fire. What matters is job duties. Are you there as a security guard to observe and report OR are you there as a protective services and a protection officer? Security guards or officers really are just observers and reporters and in hopes of a deterrent in hopes criminals and terrorists will look the other way and leave. Whereas, a protection officer is there to protect and has every right under policy to draw and return fire unlike security staff that is placed for observing and reporting. Which is why when it comes protection services, there are higher responsibilities and deeper in depth training than just a basic guard card class. And even most armed guards. Therefore, my question would be, would I be an armed security guard/ officer or a protection officer on sites! Two differences and I learned that when I was offered a job at a bank and I turned it down because of that! If a state requires no security license. Don’t even carry a baton, pepper spray or especially a firearm! Cards are insurance policies! At least in my state because you get trained in the laws of do’s and don’t’s and that’s why a lot of states with no licenses required have a higher tendency of security personnel getting into legal troubles because they don’t know what they can and cannot do. Word of advice, I would do ground ground defense training if your going to do your own training. Injuries compared to restraint techniques and grapples would be better looking in court. That why law enforcement and corrections officers get certified in ground and restraint techniques and not karate. Saves liability. Find a company that has more than two days of in house training, preferably, at least one too two weeks minimum. Cover yourself with liability! And find a company that also will teach you more than firearms and less lethals. Be safe!
@TheAngrySecurityGuardChannel
Bro! Security to security! …. Gear isn’t what helps protect one’s self. Training and skill sets in many fields is what helps protect one’s self. Not talking of firearms either. Please tell me that dress cap is a joke! LOL only time I’ve seen police officers wearing them besides on television is during funerals and ceremonies. A plain black baseball cap would get a security guard more respect. Only thing that money should be spent on is a TQ and a trauma kit and training in different fields. Not gear. You don’t need a lot on a belt either and really, need zero items on a vest. Word of advice, wearing your vest underneath your shirt and not displayed would get a security guard more respect. A rifle? Are you working at a nuclear facility or some government or military installation?! Why else would a security guard need a rifle?! If not supplied a piece of tin there’s a reason you don’t have a piece of tin. Oh. You work for allied. That explains it, LOL. They lost all local government and military base contracts where I live. A lot to nearly all of their personnel have only the “contract security” mindset. It’s embarrassing when in a government position. Respect on the proper wear of belt and equipment! Most guards are tacticool with belts and module vest. If you have a tin badge on your chest, remove the tin badge from your belt and vise versa. That is asinine! No need for two badges. Please tell me that’s really not your “duty” spray, LOL Bro! Do NOT carry cuffs that way! If you don’t have a pouch keep them in your pocket or just simply do not have them! If you keep jewelry, don’t have it out and over your uniform. Identify yourself when police arrive by having your work ID displayed. I’ve never had to give my drivers license while working because my work ID with the local government decal and information is always displayed and alls they need is your name and who you work for. Speaking from experience, you are correct on the needle proof gloves, however. The downfall is, the gloves can also make you overlook contraband because you can’t feel it because of the gloves. So pros and cons. PS, wear a black sweater underneath. Not white. Gives off a more professional vibe.

Please note badges are not lawful in all states for Security Officers nor are generic Security Enforcement badges in some states such as California ...They require badges to have a badge number and company name...plus approval by BSIS. Some states have restrictions on knives and the length that can be carried while on duty. California it's 2 inches. A knife is a lethal weapon. Any defensive weapon should include training and or certification/ license.
@officerbailey6866
@officerbailey6866 Год назад
Yes everything's dependent on your state, In my state you don't have to be licensed personally as security officer and obtain a card , rather your company must. My state also doesn't have restrictions on the carrying and use of pocket knifes they fall under the same prosecution of self defense meaning you must not exceed the force needed to stop someone attacking you with serious bodily harm, In my setup I keep it up front in case a situation happens and I cannot reach my pepper spray before they attack me. I couldn't agree more anything you carry you should be effective and if possible take training on how to use and get certified. Things like that not only help you be better security professional but give you skills you need!
@UniversitySecurity
@UniversitySecurity Год назад
@@officerbailey6866 Just understand a knife and pepper spray are not interchangeable in their use. Someone shoving you in front of a bar could mean using spray but a push and the disparity of force displaying a knife and or using it could mean going to jail. It is reasonable to assume great bodily injury and or death is going to occur with a knife, a push not to much.

That would be funny. Be a security guard and then get in trouble for a security badge haha. Ridiculous! Technically in most cases, if in an unarmed position, not even supposed to have pepper spray. Therefore, a knife will surely get one terminated! If in an armed position and can’t have a knife too while carrying a firearm, then I’d quit on the spot because it shows the mentality of the company! Plus in an armed protective position verses an armed observer and reporter position, higher duties and responsibilities come into play. Therefore, it’s a medical accessory tool and a survival tool. Even working in a government building, I’ve never heard anyone say, I can’t have my knife. Even when I used it to help open things for staff, and it’s bigger than two inches.
