They have something called muntin tape or a heavy duty tape role (2 sided stick) that sticks to a grid. If you buy the tape and some type of thin panel you can combine the 2 to make your own. The heavy duty tape is cheaper then the muntin tape, don't know if thats because of the name or quality but I don't see a difference

Thank you SO much. I am getting a new mobile home and they want $220 to put in a 35" window with thin metal grids! I knew there had to be a way to do it better myself but I've looked all over and you have the only demonstration I've found. It will be just a bit tougher for me and I'll need help because it's the front window and I have to do it while it's in. But now I know HOW to do it with no new window, permits, etc. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GOOD JOB!
