Out of curiosity, what would you say Murdoch's DVM curriculum is like? I'm in the states but I've been looking at Murdoch since it seems like I might be able to apply as I can't find much on pre-requisites to get in other than the CASPer exam. Otherwise I have to wait until I finish undergrad still!

as I'm not studying in the UK & haven't had friends study in HK City U, I don't think I'm in the right place to comment about either regions' vet schools but i do think factors such as: where does she plan on working after graduation? budget etc. should be prioritised and discussed with the right education counsellor to enable her to make the best choice possible! completely understand the dilemma here as i went through the whole decision making process myself - best of luck!!
Hii great video!! So I was just wondering this is random but I want to be a vet and am currently getting volenteer hours at my local zoo but how would I log these hours?? Do I need to get a signature from someone as proof? Love your videos !!
Heya! Thank you so much ❤️ When I did my hours at the zoo, they had a website to clock in hours, and would give us a cert w the number of hours we put in after ending the volunteering stint. If your zoo doesn’t have that, i would recommend to log the hours in an excel (I think I have a link in my “vet experience” video description for the excel template) & ask the volunteer coordinator to send you a letter/cert with the zoo letterhead+signature after you’ve finished volunteering :)
It varies according to the number of units taken and what year you enter vet school! For me each unit is around 7 grand, and depending if you’re in trimester or semester, the annual fees differ😅 the average student takes 4 units per school teem

heya! I’ve got a 2-part series documenting my move to Australia, but TLDR, just had to adapt and go with the flow. But transitioning into vet schoool seems a lot easier for my ‘juniors’ after covid travel restrictions were lifted, a lot more support resources I reckon
Forgot to add regarding logging in of hours: 90% of clinics/establishments WILL NOT log in hours for you so you need to take the responsibility of keeping track of your own hours <3

the NUS concurrent degree I was apart of didn’t offer a confirmed admission into unimelb, but i got a direct offer from Murdoch so I went there! Since it cost similar, I went for Murdoch :)

May I know, did u go to poly and do veterinary science there after O Levels? And if so, what are the requirements to get into Poly Veterinary science in Singapore? Thanks!
Hii, from her other vids, she took the A levels. For vet poly courses in SG, I believe that they closed down a few these past few years and there is only TP vet tech course for O level grads, and a post-diploma conversion (1 year) in veterinary clinical science at NP. Please check it out on their respective websites for more info, the cut off is usually released. It’s quite competitive I heard, and might have interviews, but again please go to their websites for the correct info in case I am wrong :) Do consider what you want to do after poly, if you are thinking to going on to become a vet, there are no vet programmes in sg sadly, the closest you can get is NUS Uni melb (I believe you will need a high gpa from poly as well), or overseas Uni which usually cost a ton unless you get a scholarship (NParks) Edit: Just adding on, I realised to enter the NUS unimelb concurrent degree require H2 biology for A levels.
As far as I know for now, no :) I moved in February when the borders are not fully open so I had to quarantine 😂 but do check government sources before making your travel plans ❤️
Hi I'm a j1 student and currently interested in applying for vet schs in the future, however in my case I've actually nvr volunteer in animal org(say spca) before, I'm planning to do it after promos during the December hols this yr, but I reckon if I only start this year at the end of yr, I probably would not be able to earn as many volunteer hours as what u have done, would that put me in a disadvantage in the future, during applications to vet schs? Would really appreciate your help ! :)
Don’t compare yourself! Do as well as you can and I’m sure vet schools will see your effort. Especially since COVID I’m sure some schools will understand it is harder to get the experience hours in. That said, I can’t speak for the admissions team on whether it’ll be a disadvantage, but no point worrying about something you can’t control! My advice is try your best and learn from whatever shadowing/animal handling experience you can get your hands on. Ultimately, the experience is also for you to learn and decide if vet is really for you, because whatever idea we have in our heads of what veterinary practice is is like would probably be abit different from the reality. Don’t be discouraged! Allez in your studies & vet pursuits xx
Ahh, I'm also currently in JC and looking into vet schools! But unfortunately, they're expensive and I personally don't want to be in debt right after I graduate (because the idea scares me haha). But thank you for this video! Really helpful :)
