Thank you! I hate those pesky slip knots, this is the best tutorial on standing stitches. Will this work the starting round for a granny square using a magic/adjustable ring? 😊

"Will this work the starting round for a granny square using a magic/adjustable ring?" If the magic ring and the starting round are the same yarn, I don't think this will work. With a magic ring, the yarn comes out of the ring at the base of what will be the starting round, and then has to be brought up to the correct height to make the first stitch of the round. The purpose of a standing stitch is to bring the yarn in from "outside", so to speak, and start the first stitch with the yarn already at the correct height. You might want to search for "dc turning chain alternatives". There are several out there that you could try if you don't like chaining 2 or 3 to get the yarn up to the right height when exiting the magic ring. Thanks for commenting!

Fijne techniek! Lijkt me ook goed geschikt voor een babydekentje, waar je ook geen gaten in wilt. Heb je nog tips om alle vier de hoeken vierkant te krijgen? Dankjewel voor het delen 😊

Thank you! I don't have a tip for the corners, but you could try making an extra slip stitch before or after the corner.

This was excellent! I appreciate so much that you explained both knits and purls AND clearly explained frogging! No one does that, but it really helps me learn how to read my knitting. Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have tried and tried to get a hang of this but its just not happening. If I had written instructions I would probably have better luck. I guess I'm not a visual person, especially when it goes so fast. I even tried pausing but no go.

You can find the written pattern here: mrsmicawber.blogspot.com/2024/05/solid-state-dishcloth-free-crochet.html Also, if you click on the settings button for the video (it looks like a gear), you can slow the playback speed. Good luck!

I just love this pattern. I keep coming back to make another and another and … It’s so easy now and I love the Limpetts. I’m going to start a blanket and put Limpetts in the border. Thank you for introducing me to this cute stitch that is so simple. Still working out the details. Wish I could do more thumbs up each time I come back to your 2 videos for a refresher.
