wow, it's very insightful to hear about how the form made by heatherwick studio was made to serve a purpose which is to show the history/soul of the previous building. It's different from other sculptural "architecture" forms which just plainly try to express something selfishly or seek attention out of context.
regarding the last question of juror, I really want to know how tanents in the hotel and officer enjoy from their rooms and area of work respectively. Maybe If they have their own pockets of garden inside or hotel rooms have balconies or terraces.... how this going to maintain privacy, that what I really want to know as well... maybe if public have their entry time slots, that they can enjoy these after offices hours mostly around 6 till 8 or 10 pm, and after that, only people living in here will be continuing using these facilities... that might be a solution...
All you need to do is to install powerful exhaust system on the ceiling or on the floor, not on the wall, and the exhaust duct will be equipped with heating system powerful enough to kill the virus instantly. The aircon system will be installed opposite side of the exhaust system, again not on the wall. The whole idea is to create a vertical ventilation system in a room instead of horizontal ventilation system which can spread the virus to adjacent person.
Embracing a developing technology is a natural evolution...however l believe the pencil and paper will most likely remain an effective low cost solution...to both on site and pre-design discussions. In resolving challenges associated with actual construction...many ah sketch is made on whatever material is available. The seamless linking of of both methods...hand and digital... is an interesting future. Thanks for sharing your presentation.
Drawing continues to be a wonderful and challenging journey of discovery...the shared experience of communitation between the pencil and sheet of paper is sometimes... almost a spiritual 'Becoming'.
