My passion for traveling didn't start until I was 26. Back then, I was just doing so-so in my corporate career and thought that traveling is only for those who can splurge.
This instantly changed during my first out-of-the-country trip where I think at Changi Airport (Singapore), I was bitten by a frugal travel bug ^,^... Since then, I've always been looking for ways to travel smart - so I can save more and travel more.
If you're on the same quest, please join me and subscribe. :) I hope that my content will be useful to you.
mayak kimbap actually translates to drug kimbap not mini kimbap. it is called such since people find it addictive, the same way mayak gyeran (korean marinated eggs) is referred to
Hi everyone! I'm happy to know that this is one of my most-viewed videos - because Saga-Arashiyama just has a special place in my heart. Any recommendations that you might want to add? And has anyone of you tried the Hozugawa River Cruise? If yes, how was it? 😍
Hi everyone, thanks for being here! 😊 I hope you've been enjoying this video so far. Have you tried any of these activities in Seoul? If yes, how did you find it/them? Please share your thoughts below. Looking forward to reading your comments! ♥
Aww thank you! I appreciate your comment ♥️ I totally agree with you, there are so many hidden gems in Seoul. I hope to discover more in my next visit (which will be my 5th time in Korea, if ever! haha). Take care! 😊
Hello. I `m Japanese. in the fall few years before, I had ridden the Sagano romantic train with my friend from Hong Kong as well. The autumn foliage season is really beautiful isn't it? I live in Yokohama now, but My parents house is in Kyoto. I like to walk along the path of philosophy. thanks!
Konnichiwa! 😊 Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I totally agree with you - this place is really extra beautiful in autumn! 🍂😍 It must be nice to always have a reason to visit Kyoto since your parents are there. It's so beautiful there. ♥️ I heard the Path of Philosophy is really nice, but sadly I wasn't able to visit that place in my last Japan trip because I ran out of time. Hopefully I can bring my parents there one day and we can visit that spot together! Take care! 😊
Hey, thanks for dropping by! I kinda agree with you on some of the food they sell especially along the major roads, although prices are comparable to Myeongdong or Insadong. However, I think every tourist spot has a bit of that (ie tourist-trap kind-of area). If we look past that and really get to know Jeonju or the hanok village, we would realize how big its traditional cultural space is and just how historically rich it is. People who love history, culture, tradition, and food plus a less busy ambiance will love it there. ♥
I haven’t seen the dishes you’ve tried at the market! Looking so yum 🤤 and how lovely to see you and halmoni taliking❤ Watching your video wanna makes me travel more and start watching Korean series again! Haha Thanks for introducing me JEONJU 🙏
Heyyy, so sorry I saw this just now! You're most welcome 😊 There's a lot more food in there actually but it's just so expensive to do food tripping when you're solo traveling so I could only try two haha. You'll love it there I think! ♥️
Hi, sorry I missed this! I did it via the JR Pass website where I also purchased my pass. If you’re not using a JR Pass, I think you can reserve a seat on JR East’s website 😊
Hello!👋🏼 If you’re coming from Saga Torokko, I think it’s better to choose the right side so you will have a view of the JR Hozukyo Bridge and Hozukyo Torokko Station. But don’t worry if you run out of seats, because both sides offer an awesome view of the river and gorge 👍🏻
Omg. I remember this kimono rental store 👘 memories of students days came back! Even for me as a Kansai-jin, Kyoto is like a maze with lots of distractions at cute stores. lol Your trip is so well planed 👏❤ great travel channel !
Thank you Hiromi, always appreciate your comments 😊♥️ and lovely to know you’re from Kansai! 😍 It must be fun to grow up in that area… I always imagine what life would be like growing up in that part of Japan - it’s so charming and culturally enriching ♥️
