The key to not being seen is not being invisible, it's knowing what naturally attracts the human eye and then not doing it. Yes there was a lot of fancy stuff that isn't realistic in this movie but what I liked was that it captured the psychology behind the ninja. The movie personified perception not reality and the Ninja was all about perception. They were called demons because they materialized out of shadows, solid walls etc. Simply put they were perhaps the first group historically recorded to truly recognize and implement the power of Psyops in warfare. If you can dominate and terrify the mind of your enemy then you can make them think anything and in this case, demons. Then any kind of killing they did would be mentally embellished and driven by fear. Ever run in the dark from the horrifying person chasing you only to realize there is nobody there? My favorite scene that is perhaps the closest to reality and achieving all this mental fear is when you see a man come out of the shadow on the ground. I've gone over that scene a pile of times and it's truly good. The shadow is wide enough to hide a man if they stand slightly back from it's narrow point and stand at an angle. The rumpled clothing of the Ninja distorted image, basically camo for the dark. It's in fact very easy to see outline in the dark unless it's distorted. Distort the image and the eye won't "see" anything. Now for the final part. If the man walked into the shadow at an angle bent at the knees, then as he steps out of the shadow stands up slowly and back up to his full height he would indeed fool the eye of the observer and it would look like he was coming right out of the ground. Do that well enough with any human and they'd be calling a priest for an exorcism. There are of course other elements they used but it gets harder to explain. Ninja's were not actually amazing fighters, they were effective fighters and that coupled with their psychological element made them terrifying. Side note if any is interested in everything I wrote, study the empty step in Tai Chi.
this movie has a level impossible similarity with ninja kamui (just in case u dont know, its a anime that's released this season) loved both of 'em btw
I love that their mocking laughter is cut short as soon as the lights go out, then soon drowned in a sea of blood. People underestimate shinobi far too much. They are cultural legends of Japan for a reason.
Close quarters combat with rifles vs ninjas doesn’t seem logical at all 😂 unless you could sit in a corner with no way to get hit from below or above and even then your chances are low
For the person didn't notice the detail, The Ninja in this movie can actually use Magic or Ninjutsu which make them access to unnatural ability such as teleport between shadow, Flash Dash, Hide in the shadow and with their training some of them can even have self healing, Their Shuriken are bigger and Faster than Bullet when they throwing which you might see the shuriken hit hard enough to split any limbs in half
@@markstriker925 They do share the same abilities by training but the main protagonist trained more than every else in the clan so he know the flaw in their skill and use that as his advantage to kill other ninjas in split second also there still some unique abilities that only the one that determine enough to live can learn such as "Self-Healing" which only one can learn have to be at the blink of the death and the main protagonist learned that other from that the movie never mension but i think there might be more
