Can’t use the shortness of breath because of being and asthmatic and can use heart burn either because of acid reflux so that leaves only one thing of your list- chest pressure but you can get that if you are having breath issues. I got a burning sensation on the left side of my neck and on the soft part of my arms. Yes, it was the LAD and I am the one who knew something was wrong and an EKG didn’t detect anything wrong even when I was having a heart attack. CATH lab showed how blockage my arteries are but I eat very carful so what was causing the inflammation that was blocking my arteries? Looks like it was a bit of dairy I was still eating. Type A person, no symptoms that would warn of an impending heart attack so I am the kind of person you would see just drop dead with no symptoms. My arm got cramped literally thought I broke it … my stomach and thighs was cramped at the same time I’m working 11 hour shift at a lumber yard building roofs and my body is just in pain
The explanation for warming up is one of the better I've heard. As for cooling down, static stretching is a good idea to do while the muscles are warm to increase flexibility/reduce stiffness. However, the idea of "pushing out" lactic acid to prevent Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is outdated as far as I know. Newer research shows that DOMS is a result of microscopic tears in the muscle fibers caused mostly by the eccentric portion of exercises; soreness is a natural part of the process of hypertrophy (muscle building).
This is so true! I was always skinny and could eat anything up till about 35. Inwas about 145 -150 all my adults life. I was about 130-135 thru my late teens. I am only 5'6 and was not skinny, I was more muscular. I am now 41 and weigh anywhere between 202 to 210 depending on what I eat, drink, and the time of day. Lol Fortunately, I still am not as fat looking as other 200lb + men, taller or shorter. I was 40 years old when I finally cracked 200lbs 😢 😔 😟 Youth.... it was so wonderful!❤ now 40+😢...😂😂
I’m 58. I had a replacement in March. It dislocated twice 7 wks post op out of the Blue, 4 days apart. Painful as - - - -! Traumatizing, horrible. Surgeon said the ball was at the wrong angle. Revision on May 21st. It’s been a very painful, slow as molasses recovery. I’m just about 5 wks post op. I can’t stand on that leg by itself yet. My VNA nurse who comes wkly said, I shouldn’t be able to yet. Such a bummer. Have spent many days just sobbing, feeling like it’ll never get better but, it will. I pray this never happens again. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I’m faithful to my PT and even those excersises are very basic still. I’ve been instructed to set a timer and walk through the house 5 to 10 min a day. I’m finally on a cane indoors but my nurse said a walker outdoors, which I’ve only been outside twice in all of this time. It’s so depressing. I keep waiting to ‘turn the corner’ soon??
Keep pressing on, I'm still healing after 7 months. Stay active and trust God. I had no help with anything and I believe that kept me active and still does.
