I remember being eight years old in 2003 and being at the grocery store with my dad while shopping for cereal and I specifically remember wanting rice Krispies really badly because it came with a laser pointer web shooter….. Yeah, i DID eat the cereal, and I enjoyed the hell out of the toy in the box!
I loved so much the 2000's era of spider-man. Every time a new movie was gonna be released, it felt like christmas but better. Watching all the merchandising, the trailers, the advertising everywhere.... god it was so exciting. <3
i'm definitely younger than you so my first spidey movie was spider-man 3 in theatres when i was 3, but my dad made sure to have me watch the other two time and time again and man, i'm so glad he raised me with spider-man. best hero ever
Top notch editing. The nostalgia will live on in my forever. When they did Spider-Mondays, I suited up in the corresponding suit for each movie. Was an absolute blast.
@@jacksonlloyd i got a doctor pepper collab shirt recently, but you can find them occasionally on grailed or depop. otherwise i just try my luck at thrift stores and hope to get lucky. got so many. incredible video! love the aesthetic and can feel the passion
Hey man I gotta say I loved how you captured the early 00s aesthetic in this video! Also liked how you talked about the popularity of Spider-Man Franchise during the early - mid 00s! I really enjoyed the video due to its unique style and nostalgic feel in addition over the last 4-5 months I saw all 3 re-releases of the Raimi trilogy which brought me back to memories of my child hood and the 2005 Ultimate Spider-Man! I hope you do potentially cover rest of the early 00s / 90s Marvel Catalog like X-Men, Hulk, Ultimate Spider-Man, Daredevil, Ghost Rider & Fantastic Four at somepoint down the line
bro i didnt realize your subs til u said thanks for 2k the editing and scripting was phenomenal u remind me of nakeyjakey in a really good way great video spiderman is the shir
and to add i related hard to this video, being born the same year the first movie came out i grew up with spider-man and have so much nostalgia especially the 3rd one
At 17:06 is that condensed milk I hear as the background music??? literally one of my favorite songs next to get enuf and 2 mello I wanna know from the bomb rush game soundtrack 😌
This is a great video. Im a couple years younger than you but i remember during the mid 2000s watching spiderman 1and 2 on repeat and jumping off my couch in my spiderman costume pretending i was spiderman. Man the 2000s as spiderman fan were fun
AVI ARAD has ruined so far... * Borderlands * Daredevil (2003) * The Punisher (2004) * Elektra (2005) * Fantastic Four (2005) * X-Men: The Last Stand * Spider-Man 3 * Bratz (2007) * Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance * The Amazing Spider-Man 2 * Ghost in the Shell (2017) * Venom: Let There Be Carnage * Uncharted (2022) * Morbius And now he's gonna ruin... * Kraven the Hunter * Venom: The Last Dance * Legend of Zelda * Naruto As long Arad lives, there's no hope
Thanks for this trip down memory lane! First saw this at age 5 in 2002 and I instantly became a Spidey fan. Glad to see someone else share that love for the character
@@jacksonlloyd Oh hell yeah, the activision era games had some hits and misses Spider-Man movie 1 and 2 games were great, Ultimate Spider-Man was great, Friend or Foe while that's a 50/50 for the Spidey community I personally enjoyed that one, Web of Shadows was aight, "Side tangent: Was hoping for a Friend or Foe 2 because of the 1st games ending but that sadly never happened." Anyways Beenox era hit strong and kinda flopped too, and now we have the Insomniac era of Spider-Man which is pretty neat so far. Spider-Man video games have come a majorly long way since then its insane.
Finally!!! I have found someone else who loved the MTV SPider-Man show n actually knows that it was a thing. That show and the Raimi films were and still to this day are my personal favorites.
The reason why the original trilogy was so memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth, especially SPIDER-MAN 2 AVI ARAD on the other hand, just wanted to use the movies to sell toys Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1 Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise again Spider-Man was nothing without her
think its was like 2005 maybe when my little nephew prob your age wanted me to paint spidey and venom murals on his bedroom walls and they turned out fire. lucky bastard i never had a room that cool : D
Honestly, just the 21st Century as a whole has been awesome for Spidey fans. The Raimi love is very strong again, especially after Spider-Verse and the PS games referenced it for the first time since RU-vid Poops. "It’s nice to have a fan…" Love Tobey. I feel like if I meet another young man who's 22-30 and loves these movies, I trust him immediately. I literally moved to New York for college and am suffering through my NYU loans just because I love Spider-Man so much, and I just wanted to live there at least a little in my life. Honestly, the girl drama in New York was so awesome, even if it went atrociously… Actually… especially since it went atrociously. Because I got to enjoy Spider-Man even more. 😂 Still want a girlfriend, don’t get me wrong, but being a Spidey fan in New York kinda made the girl drama hilarious, and an even better ride.
It really has been for the most part. I feel the same way, if you love the raimi movies I’d trust you with my life. I’ve always wanted to live in NYC for that same exact reason dude the spider-man movies had such an imprint on me
Yo man, this video was awesome, if it weren't for me loving Spider-Man and growing up with this era and having that 'Spider-Fever' I would have never been as passionate about making videos and going down the path of voice acting that I did. Can't wait to see future videos from you!
