Yeah, this is a clip from a documentary film made by Diego Luna, the actor and director at the end of Chavez' career - so around 2005. It's on RU-vid and is a good watch. Goes into politics in Mexico a bit but it's mostly about Chavez. Kind of sad to see him here continuing his career in his 40s, but I guess it's tough to quit when you were great at something, get all that adulation. POBRE CHAVEZ HABLABA EN ESE MOMENTO COMO ADICTO ES EL CAMPEÓN SE GANO EL CORAZON DE TODOS ES LO QUE HACE ESE AMBIENTE PURO GORRON METE AIRE LE INFLARON EL EGO Y PERDIMOS AL CAMPEON
When talking of great fighters we think Ray Robinson, Duran, Ali,Louis, Armstrong.... for me Chavez until now is the best Fighter during my life time... amazing fighter. Never really got going at 147lbs but had already fought 80 odd fights by then....
Every boxer reaches the end of his journey. And has one or two fights too many. For me, the greatest were CHAVEZ, HAGLER, DURAN, MARQUEZ. Plus a few other GREATS. HAGLER was robbed, and walked away in disgust at the corruption in the game. Chavez maybe should have retired a bit earlier. But throughout his career, he had that air of invincibility. I am glad he retired in ONE PIECE though.
