If actual drawing-room conversations were recorded, the result wouldn't be too far off from what we deliver through this podcast. Join the "drawingroomers" as they discuss everything under the sun and provide an honest opinion as Pakistani expats living in North America, the likes of which is hardly heard in the current podcast/media space.

Brother, Babar azam is an average batter masquerading as a king. Generational talents are rare. If he's considered that, then it's only due to a lack of competition. Stats don't tell the whole story. His game awareness, shot selection and availability of shots in his arsenal is very average.
@DrawingRoomExperts110
@DrawingRoomExperts110 4 дня назад
I don't agree with that one bit. There are plenty of actual experts in the world of cricket who rate him technically. Surely they're not all Babar simps like the majority of his fandom in Pakistan. He's a generational talent because there hasn't been anyone like him in Pakistans' history for at least 20-30 years. You can argue that is because of Pakistan's average batting history and product in that period but that isn't Babars' fault. That along with a plethora of international cricketers who rate Babar is enough to put him over in my eyes.
@AhsanSaleem93
@AhsanSaleem93 3 дня назад
Can you point me to these experts so that I can educate myself on his abilities? I'm obviously missing the point. Is there a specific match I can watch in the last 4 years where he has had a historic knock against quality opposition ?

1. "Can you point me to these experts..." : Just a few receipts: clutchpoints.com/best-player-in-the-world-ex-new-zealand-stars-big-claim-on-babar-azam indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/you-wont-realise-how-good-babar-azam-is-until-hes-gone-nasser-hussain-8337309/ www.espncricinfo.com/story/asia-cup-virat-kohli-on-babar-azam-probably-the-top-batsman-in-the-world-right-now-across-formats-1392107 sports.ndtv.com/cricket/i-must-admit-he-looked-like-ricky-ponting-gives-his-verdict-on-babar-azam-3728426 As for a noteworthy knock, that is subjective. Id mention some but obviously it's not incumbent on you to take it from me. What is incumbent on me and you both is what Nasser, Virat, Simon & Ricky say about him. Obviously you'd need to come up with bigger names than that who say he's "average" to trump that. We can go back and forth with this (apart from what the experts say, which is a shut story) but that is not the point. The point I have made in this episode is that the poor utilization of talent plus his own stagnation and staleness has caused Babar Azam to be where he is today. His talent is unquestionable.
@amitsarkar5022
@amitsarkar5022 4 дня назад
I got your point. Even after the debacle of T20 WC 2024 I was expecting some mature statement by Babar Azam. The kind of resolve you see when a champion's pride takes a hit but honestly speaking haven't seen that. On top of that the kind of training videos coming out with MJ BGM is just not helping his cause and his image. Babar Azam has talent no doubt but then talent without focus and a little bit of humility is nothing, maybe that's where Virat Kohli or Kane Williamson score above Babar. The humility to take responsibility as a captain and as a role model. The interview of Virat Kohli comes to my mind wherein he states that he was ashamed over his fitness during 2012 and then started hitting the gym coz his aim was to be nothing but the Best. That introspection and setting of High Standards is totally missing from Babar. There is a saying in India that you can take the horse to a river but you cannot make the horse drink the water!!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cOAOafJcB3U.html

@DrawingRoomExperts110 4 дня назад
That's exactly what I'm trying to say here with Babars' stagnation and staleness. He's established his talent and promise years ago. That part is done. It's now about going to the next level. It's one thing being part of the conversation but totally another thing BEING the conversation. Idk what it is that is missing with him.. is it an effective 5 star PR machinery that protects his image or a team of experts he surrounds himself that push him to be the best athlete Pakistan has ever produced. And trust me on both those things, the bar is not that high at all!

The most important question you have asked is “if not Babar Azam and he will be kicked out then who will be replacing him” Same people criticising Babar for slow strike rates and not making quick fire runs are praising VK for making 50 of 48 balls in WC 24 final. Its just the hate against Babar and some sort of Mafias against him.

Captaincy actually improved Virat as a batsman, even stats will second me. As a tactician he was one dimensional(always aggressive) which worked for him in tests but isn't ideal in white ball format.

Watched the podcast till 52 mins and then stopped watching, you’ll know why. Brother bura mat manna but you tarnished your image by landing in a territory which has been the driving cause of the schism in the ummah. The podcast was very biased and offensive. I have a suggestion that if you are so much interested in discussing religious topics (Islamic history, Al farooq, him having anger management issues, his burning of the door and all the offense and disrespect that was mentioned in the name of ‘freedom of expression’) you should invite a scholar from both sides and do some ‘justice’ (which is the trait Hazrat Ali RA is known for) to the topic under discussion. The bloke you invited _ I would only say that may Allah bless him. Do forward this message to him so it doesn’t count in gheebat. Apparently he had zero credentials (wearing a Zulfikar locket doesn’t give you one) and reflected a very basic mindset which I have seen multiple times in Sunni-shia clashes. So inviting someone reflecting some degree of intellectualism would have really added some worth to the 52 mins watch time. I am sorry to say brother but for a while, I really felt like I am back to the streets of soldier bazar with such blokes doing baseless arguments and doing nothing but creating divisions. One of the things that made my eyes popped was when You said that as long as you are not crossing the boundaries of decency, then I am okay expressing my views. Let me tell you how I felt when I heard such words about the second Khalifa and then you (as an intellectual individual and a human being) can decide whether it’s worth saying such things or it’s okay for people to get hurt and that it’s their problem, and we just don’t care: I felt extremely hurt upon hearing offensive words about the great caliph Umer RA. I have been an admirer of Hazrat Umer for a while and have read many books about him (authentic ones including Al farooq), and many authentic ahadees b/w the Prophet pbuh and him. A number of things that were mentioned by your friend were baseless and I can bring multiple proofs about all those narrations being unauthentic. I have no iota of doubt about his personality, his leadership, his contributionsz And hearing someone speaking offensive language (on multiple occasions) was indeed hurtful to hear and disappointing at the same time. In the name of freedom of expression, let’s not forget the hadees of Prophet pbuh and fear Allah: “Whoever harms [others], Allah will harm him, and whoever causes hardship [to others] Allah will cause hardship to him.” Ref: Abu Dawood (3635), at-Tirmidhi (1940), Ibn Maajah (2342), Ahmad (15755), at-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer (830), al-Bayhaqi in his Sunan (11386), al-Kharaa’iti in Masaawi’ al-Akhlaaq (583) One more thing which I heard You mentioned about some qaseedas we say about Hazrat Umer, I have been praying jummahs my whole life I various masjids and have never heard a single qAseeda about him. Let’s see if this shahadat is convincing enough for you to change your thoughts. Lastly, I am still struggling to understand the objective of the podcast. Because clearly it’s not doing any good to anyone and you’ll agree with me as an independent viewer (not as a Shia please). I mean we are living in a time when there are greater issues encapsulating the ummah and here we have a podcast which is like an arrow shot in open air without any target and it’s going to hit/hurt someone as it drops down.

Imam Ali was the beloved blood cousin brother of the prophet Muhammad PBUH and beloved son-in-law with divine status etc ? Ask yourself when the queen dies will her best Nate or followers be king etc ? Or will her sons and grandsons be heirs? You Pakistani need to wake up dear . Arabs are from the lands that Islamic history took place surely the would know more even the sayaad are of these opinions . Regarding lady of heaven most came from sahih Muslim and bukari. Shehbaaz Sharif Married 5 times and his latest wife is Tehmina Durrani who was ex wife of Ghulam Mustafa Khar. Ghulam Mustafa Khar is brother of Ghulam Noor Rabbani, father of Hina Rabbani. Question : What is the relation between Shehbaz Sharif and Hina Rabbani? Khalifa Haroon wanted to do TeresaFadi with a laundi who got her TeresaFaded from his Abbujan. Laundi told Haroon that she was his Ammijan. Moulvi took 100K Dinar and gave fatwa that Haroon can do Teresa Fading because the laundi cannot bring 4 male witnesses when Haroon's Abbujan was ghusawoing his 4skinless erect Marx in Laundi's wet Teresa and Laundi's claim was invalid since Aurat's (literal meaning of Aurat is Vagina/Teresa wali) witness is half witness. This is as per the slave manual Koran whose revelation's witness was one old Teresawali Khadija. The entire social system of West India aka Pakistan is very different from that of India after fleeing of HinduSikhs. Remember the last story, that is the 25th tale in Betal and Vikramaditya. The King was being tested by Betal to see how he judged different situations that can arise in the society. When the last question was asked, King Vikramaditya just smiled but refused to say anything. The topic was taboo and in polite and educated circle people did not speak of it. This is lacking in Pakistani society. Pisaachata and Bestialities are promoted by Islam, its popat and his slave manual. Read in full Modi walked all over India as Sadhu RSS worker/pracharak for15 years. So he knows at least 50K villages of India first hand. Next 15 years he worked within BJP as party worker and organizer. Next 15 years he worked as CM of Gujrath. He has been PM of India for 8 years. Hope he gets to be PM of India till 2029. Who after Modi? Much better choice than Modi is Yogi Adityanath. He became Member of parliament at the age 25 years and CM of UP with population of 25 Crore at age 43. He became a Sanyasi at age 17 and head of Gorakhnath Peeth at age 22 years. His roots are much deeper and purer than even Modi. Modi is a politician but Yogi is destined to be Rashtra builder. Hope this happens for the betterment of not only India but also whole world. Pakistanis know very superficial about India which their slaves of Arabi and Turks have told or what their BriShit/Anglo masters have told. Modi or Yogi like Hindus are son of the soil. Imran or MohMaddens by design are rootless parasites. Christianity, Islam and Marxism asks native concerts cut their own roots of native organic spirituality, native culture, native languages and pride in achievements of native ancestors. Rootless parasites are easy Cannon fodder for wars to expand evil empires of One Khalifa, One VatiCunning Pope, One BriShit Queen, One Politburo Honcho in Kremlin or Beijing and One Fiat Currency Printing Machine owner Banker. Islam was used as Weapon of Mass Destruction by Arab, Turk/Mongol Khalifas in the past. But in last 200 years Anglos mastered breeding of Khalifas. Recent most was Khalifa Al Baghdady of ISIS of Levant. BriShit bred Chiknah Jinah as Khalifa E Lundoni to create first ISIS (Islamic State of Indian Subcontinent) called Pakistan. This ISIS killed 2 Million and kidnapped/gang raped 250K females in 1947. First unrigged election of this ISIS were of 1971 in which Bangalis who constituted 57% population elected Bangali as PM of this ISIS. West Pakis, mainly Punjabis, Urdu speaking burocracy and capitalists didn't want to share power with Bangalis who had not completely cut their native roots. This led to liberation struggle of Bangalis. Poonjabi MohMadden Army tried to crush it by killing 3 Million Bangalis, gang raping and treating as sexual slaves 450K Bangali females and eviction of 11 Million Bangalis from their homes and they ran to India for their lives. India hosted these refugees for 2 years without any help from UN or any other country. India is progressing, democratic and egalitarian because its nativity or Dharmic/Hindu roots are still intact. Representative Democracy was imposed on India as a tool so that foreign colonial powers could control India by managing 500 or so parliamentarians as BriShits used to manage 600 principalities in colonized India. Slowly but surely Modi and Yogi like leaders are rising in spite of Congress ecosystem. Soon there will be Direct Democracy under the vigilant supervision of Modi & Yogi like leaders. Pakistan and even Bangladesh are doomed because they are not civilizational states like India & China. Christianized Sri Lanka is also doomed just as Islamized AfPak.

Just stumbled across your video. Can’t believe I’m listening to the whole thing here knowing that I really need to call it a night. I was disappointed with Peechay Hutt. The beat / loop pedal of the song is so similar to Gomf (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2yHGUoozvLI.html) and the sad thing is that the hook of the song is “get outta my way”, which literally is Peechay Hutt. It really put me off there as I didn’t expect this from Talal Q esp in Coke Studio..I get it that samples are sold and all but c’mon now… this song and the Gomf one sound almost completely similar. Anyhow, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I don’t think credits were given to the beat either because I recall sample credits being given in Abdullah’s song “Go.” For me, Sajan Das Na, Beparwah, Peechay Hutt were so so songs. I agree that Momina didn’t need 2 songs. They should have had another artist featured there instead. While I loved Abdullah’s Go, I didn’t like the direction aspect or the set designing of this song. It seemed kinda rushed and childish to me. Clouds hanging; a filler shot of an instrument while Abdullah’s singing in between about being starry eyed & all..smoke and stuff.. I just had a higher expectation from the visuals of this song. I wanted to see more vibrance from the colors used in the video too. So that’s where I would disagree with you guys. The vocals and fusion of the 2 languages though was superb! Abdullah and Atif were a sheer delight for the ears 👍 Phir Milenge for me can play on loop cuz Faisal’s vocals are everything. For me, my favorites are Ye Dunya, Phir Milenge, Mehram, Go, and Kana Yaari. No matter how many seasons come and go, Ye Dunya and Phir Milenge will never get old for me. I can play them on loop with Go any day and at any time ☺️. Didn’t know the tea about 14th song. They could have replaced Ali Noor with Ali Hamza. Would love to see him back on the show. All in all, a great revival of the old show. Xulfi knows well that change is the only constant here so I expect him to kick it up a notch even more in the next season. I just don’t know how long it would be before that season comes in… until then, we will keep the Subah in our heart that the best is yet to come! So proud of this season 👏

Excellent analysis. And agree on quiet a few aspects. Slightly uncomfortable with the Peechay Hutt beat similarities with that song you shared :s without jumping the gun, I do agree that it sounds a lot similar. As for Phir Milengay, the repeatability had nothing to with how good or bad the song was. Having listened to it a few times more now I do think it is a masterpiece. But due to the overpowering emotions that the song exudes, it is kind of a luxury song that is best suited for certain types of moods (like Mehram). Again, a brilliant brilliant song none the less. Thanks for the listen and a detailed comment! Much appreciated!!
