i know this is an old review, but the bearings are definitely NOT caged!! took that bad boy apart for cleaning and lubrication since i needed to tighten the screw anyways due to some heavy duty use, and those mfer's went EVERYWHERE lol.

I was surprised by the first generation Tactile Knives Rockwall when the same thing happened to me - they corrected course after I contacted them, and the next gen had cages. Yeah, flickers of CRK seem to be in the minority. As for the mechanics, the stop pin is taking the brunt of force just like any other folder. And CRK stop pins are rather substantial, so I just don't see a problem. Thanks for stropping by! 👊

The Ultem came right out of the blasted frame, but the CF took some gentle coaxing with a Teflon pry bar - I can assure you no inlays were injured in the making of this video ;-). Thanks for checking it out. 🤙

The one i got was super sharp from the factory. One of the sharpest knives from new ive ever had. I also like the slightly longer blade. Much easier for batining with. The sheath is also very well made. And the sleipner is a definite upgrade from the k720. An all round great woodlore/ traditional/English style bushcraft knife.
Very knice!! This was an excellent follow-up to the Ohio River Jack, and in fact I like it a fair bit more. One thing I dig is how hand filling Austin's designs are - not something common in modern slip joints. Dave absolutely does amazing work, and he transformed this into probably the best Hinderer format - it retains the takedown tool (ala Full Track), thinner blade (but not sacrificing a tough profile), thumb studs, contouring, textured lock side, tri-way. You'll find one - the market is softer right now and things are sticking around awhile. Thanks for checking it out! ✌️👊

I would say that the last two slips have the bottom corners cut on angles for comfort in your pocket. Square corners would tend to pine you until they rolled over.

I’m not against serrations at all, I chose the Endura 4 for that wave feature and large size, if there was a combo edge I probably would have gone for that as serrations are useful for a large amount of things I cut. The plain edge serves me fine though.
I agree - this thing has more lines ground on the spine than any other blade I've handled (and M390 isn't easy on grinding belts). Definitely unique - I look forward to doing a full and proper carry (and to seeing how family responds when I pull it out to use, since they are always asking to use a blade, knowing I always carry 2. ✌️👊
Great question. At 08:37, I explain how the pry tool/screwdriver/bottle opener/can opener being canted so properly on one side that it works well as a (albeit little) pry bar...I wouldn't recommend this be used to pry off a dust cover while pulling your CV joints on your 4Runner. Thanks for showing us this scale swap. I did the same thing but added the titanium backspacer. Unfortunately I could not put the pocket clip back on due the the screws being too short. Very frustrating. Will try to find longer pocket clip screws somewhere. The scales look great but wish they included a set of longer screws.😢
