My boyfriend and me started very recently with this TCG, so much recently that we still learn the rules. He playes the green Kid starter deck, 03 I believe it is, and I picked this Luffy one. I was so confused about how to play this with all these effects, so this video is very helpfull for me. I'm sure I can beat my boyfriend now!
For the Shinobu card. Does that mean on block you HAVE to take a life for that card to gain 4k power? Or you dont have to take the life cause it says you MAY. Sounds like a choice.

I personally think 8 drop katakuri is extremely mid unless you are putting shirohoshi in life or getting rid of the best card in the game. 8 cost green kid.
@@SupernovasTCG I play in Japan where the only thing banned is mobby dick. As a result the meta is heavily dictated by Newgate resulting in every deck being built needs to be able to contest Newgate or it's automatically a bad deck. This makes super stagnant and toxic gameplay where only one leader is S tier and everyone else is made to beat Newgate.

I think this is the answer I've been looking for to balance my decks midgame, using the Smoothie instead of a mix of rush katakuri and opera, and a few extra Sovereignty... I think this tweak is right on the money, thank you so much for the upload!
Congrats on the win and good job on the video. Agree with most of what you said and arrived at most of the same conclusions. Think you're sleeping on Daifuku though. He can provide resources to defend or keep the pressure as well as acting as a Pseudo blocker to take off pressure from the Leader in the mid game.

Just found the x1 don requirement to be a bit awkward since the deck plays out large units and hard to have the extra don when your leader can use it for that 7K swing/ability. Although it does pair well with the 7 drop big mom if you take evens and definitely has the upside as you mentioned. Well test more on him and see...
My list is extremely similar and I am happy with the numbers also. I used to play x3 Opera but after WB nerf I have removed them and added 2x Pekoms and 1xThunderbolt. Are you still happy playing 3, I think it is not needed anymore because of WB ban but Pekoms is much more needed in order to make Zoro mu easier to boost up the 3cost character number to 6. Also, I added 3rd Thunderbolt to take care of Blocker Law. I also agree with the Ikkoku, the deck does not need that. From your final update, I would keep Shirahoshi at 3, Linlin at 2, Katakuri at 3. Add 1 Smoothie and add 1 Thunderbolt. Very good video!! Edit: I just made it to the end of the video and you said the same thing about Pekoms.
Faced off against pure yellow big mom leader in a case tourney round 1 this pass weekend. Deck has a very good matchup against Katakuri since it can fix the triggers and scale better into late game because of it. It definitely seemed fun to pilot especially into katakuri who can only look and delay but can't stop those stacked triggers.
