The Buffalo are America’s National animal, they are my state Oklahoma’s state animal, the Lakota Sioux called them Tatonka, the and they worshipped the Buffalo, we have Buffalo Nickels and Buffalo Bill, and songs about roller skating in a buffalo Hurd. But then we decided we needed to call them by their scientific name Bison, and some people criticize others for using Buffalo. But the fact is both names are interchangeable, that’s right.
