Hi, I’m Rachel. I'm here to help you make beautiful handmade crafts and refinish furniture. Follow along with me to add more affordable, homemade touches to your home.
You can find tips and how-to guides such as where to find free furniture to flip. From painting furniture, to making handmade gifts, to that trendy IKEA mirror.
Grab a cup of tea and settle in. I'm so glad you're here.
Thank you, glad it was helpful. I didn’t use glue for the candle as the melting wax is how the paper attached. If you try a typical glued paper method on a candle then double check the glue is safe if you use the candle.
We just fired up our machine for the first time, and cut a very simple shape on the basswood provided with the basswood setting in the software. But it cut into the bottom of the machine? Has this happened to anyone else?
Yes I have my own shapes engraved into the base! It’s quite common. It probably means that your measuring of the wood wasn’t set correctly so the laser thought it had to cut further. Or the wood wasn’t raised on a honeycomb or the prisms but you selected that option to say it was. How did you have the wood? Raised or on the base?
It's so easy to overlook the little things that we've become accustomed to... It takes an objective eye to see what needs doing! Can't wait to hear more about the hunt...
Hello, thank you for this awesome video! I'm new to decopage; how do you get the image onto the rice paper? For example, I have photos I've taken that I'd love to use....
The fridge looks great and very nice video, you might want to use a 25 ltr rubbish bag over the rolling tray (as foil is sensitive just like us men 😂) then just tie up and throw away,
I LOVE painter's pyramids! I've never seen the spray paint trigger or the handle hole locator; they're on my list for my next trip to the home improvement store. Thank you, Rachel!
If you'd like a vacation in the heat and humidity of Georgia for a break from the British rain, you're welcome to visit! Especially if we could get a couple of my garden projects done... The deck looks wonderful now!
Wow that looks so good and I think laying the timber along the shed lengthways makes it look longer, streamlined and modern😀 I know it doesn’t need it but I think after that I might be tempted to paint the shed also. Maybe crisp white or charcoal black would look pretty with colourful flowers in hanging baskets🌸🌺 and on the deck and a little table and chairs😆 Ok I’ll stop now🤭💕
It gets exciting to plan doesn’t it! Don’t worry, the table and chairs are coming. The decking boards are apparently supposed to be laid in the opposite direction to the traffic (into the shed) so that was the reason for it.
I’ve never heard of this method before but it makes sense. As much as I dread it I do actually enjoy organising once I start and it’s so satisfying after it’s all done😊🌸
I am new here and love it :) thanks for the inspiration. I have used this method and it helped me get my house under control. I have a garage full of things to face and you helped me remember the joy of decluttering in this way.
@@TeaandForgetmenots My daughters having a cabin built on our land this year so I thought I’d film all that but I think I might need to hijack it at some point🤭😆I need more space🌸
