What file type did yo use in the road mesh? I try to make your actions a bit slow, it would be easier to understand, Anyway great video it helped me a lot Cheers
Good point. There's a pretty easy way to do that but it might sound like gibberish if you don't understand code. You could keep the speed and with the output of that you can multiply it with the angle of the UI element for the needle. For example if the speed is 50 out of 100 the the lerp output would be 0.5 then you multiply that by 180 and you'll get the angle of the needle.
If you have an older engine version, you can create it in that version then just recompile it in 5.2. I don't really do 2D games in unreal engine anymore because it's such a powerful engine. Currently just doing 3D in ue5
I am using version 4.27 and there is a problem i am facing. I can't make a new node as no matter how many times i left click on the area to create a new node for roughness, nothing happens and the road is also very shiny
Hello there!! It's me again, just one question. How to do this exact same thing when there is no idle sound? Audio should only play when vehicle moves (like RC car), so from low rev to high and back.
Umm.. so I followed the exact steps and somehow speedometer shows when I press play of the bluprint editor, but wont show when I hit play in game mode?? What am I doing wrong Unreal Joe?? HELP
Watch it again, sometimes just going over it step by step you notice something you missed. Can't really help with the limited information provided but good luck.
@@unrealjoe1421 It was honestly a stupid issue, turns out speed was showing, but the text location wasn't properly aligned so it ended up displaying below details panel LOL! My issue now is, how to implement this for multiple vehicles, as we text bind it by casting to sedan (in your case), do I need to cast it for each vehicle? THANKS in advance!

Hello thanks for sharing your knowledge! Could you make a tutorial for advanced vehicle system please? I wanna make an android off-road game with that mechanics but there's no tutorial in internet about that.
Hi Guys, i found a soloution for the sound fade out where the sound cuts off after a certain speed You go into the soundcue Click on the Crossfade param and under the Index2 you increase the volume a little bit and then set the Fadeout value to the engines total RPM if you don't know it Set it to 5500, then it's all good Besides that, Super nice tutorial
