good run, congrats. where are you from originally. saw the runs on the sunshine coast in australia where i hiked twenty years ago with an australin friend. thank you for lovely video
it is a very bad idea this changing of the angle of the camera. we want to see in front what you see not what is in your back. but otherwise good video.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your comment. It was really a lot of video in this race and a lot of things going on not just in front of me but around me and I had hoped to share some of that with the viewers. My goal and using the 360 camera on top of my helmet was to take advantage of some of theflexibility that a 360 offers. If you are interested in seeing other videos of continuous forward facing race footage, there are many others from that same race that I have also watched and enjoyed!
My pleasure, McClain! So fun to ride with you on this trip, would love to do more laps, sooner than later! Glad you liked the video, a little different than my usual
Hi guys! Thanks @fusabike for your contribution. I need to replace my seals on my FOX Permormance Elite 36 GRIP2 fork (year 2020 - 29" - 160mm). I would like to try the SKF dual-compound seals which from what I understand do not have flanges. I was reading about the problems with the old UNIOR 1702 model but it seems that the new one (627757 - 36mm) has now been updated and compatible with seals with and without flanges. Also, they have created two distinct versions for 35 and 36mm. Question: have any of you tried this new one model with SKF seals or similar in type? (@whitedragon101 do you have any experience with this?) Thanks for your time! Alex
Thanks for that bud! I’ll tell you what, if I go any faster, you’ll be the first to know because I’ll be right on your tail in that case! Thanks for all the lead-ins and for having me along with your crew this riding season!
Having the time of my life down here Kory! Believe it or not, this was one of the earlier, warm-up trails…. We’ve ridden lots of higher, faster and steeper stuff since. The ride scene here is world class!
Im sorry if i missed it but how tall are you and what size is it ? Im looking to get one to replace my commencal meta ht , im 6 feet and usually ride a large but the large doctahawk seems way to long . I think the m/l would be better .
I can’t remember if I mentioned it in the video, thanks for asking! I’m on a M/L on the 2020 Doctahawk and I am on a Large 2021 Ti Rootdown as well. Check the geo / size charts for both and that should help you narrow in on what will work for you. I am 5’11” with a 32” inseam, and run 210mm droppers on these bikes. I hope that helps!
I have the Unior and it works just fine. You're right with needing to pay extra attention while installing the seal but personally I'm fine with it. Other than the price I don't want to spend the space to store these monsters. But great information for anyone wanting this information.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I agree, if I had more experience with seal drivers I might not fuss too much about the Unior or Fox versions, but the Push one just “made life easier” for a guy like me with limited patience! Thanks again and happy to hear the Unior works great in the right hands!
Love to see dogs in the woods but not when they have no trail etiquette ,if your dog is not trained to ride leave it at home ,I ride with a dog that is trained to stay on my back wheel and my back wheel only ,never interfere with other riders ,seems like you spent half your ride dodging dogs or riders with no trail etiquette that stop in the middle of the trail or in front of a feature ,but looks like you had a great ride anyway
Thanks for your comment. Not my dogs but I know what you mean. These dogs were pretty good, never really had to worry about getting tangled up with them.
I have a 2021 Rootdown Ti and this and Personally I’d recommend the Rootdown between the two for all around riding (again, just between these two). The head angle and less front travel would make things more manageable for climbing, especially technical tight climbing situations. That said, you’d get used to either bike, I’m not sure you could go totally wrong with either one of you had to pick a single hardcore hardtail….it’s all in what you’re after in terms of ride experience, and what You prioritize
Got here by researching the hub on my Farley 9.6. The freewheel blew up on a bike packing trip, ending it. Is this common for Bontrager fat bike hubs? They did a warranty repair but my trust is low. Just spent a lot on the bike - only two months old - so not too keen to pay for a new hub, if I can find one.
I blew up two of these hubs, both warranty replacement s and the second time they put a DT Swiss hub in its place, never another issue! The hub is a weak point on this bike and with these wheels
@@fusabike thanks, that’s what I was afraid of. I’m torn between ponying up for a new hub or just waiting for a failure and an alternative hub replacement from Trek like the DT Swiss. Some decisions to make. Thanks again - followed.
You saved my lil ass right here❗️ I was just about to buy the cheap one, believing they’re about the same, thanks for showing the opposite 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Happy greetz from Berlin City 🤙🏼😎
I used the Shimano Zee levers for this upgrade. Key tip: You don't use the silver square bolt as it doesn't slide into anything. Remove the set screw, slide in the cylinder inside the lever, and and screw back the set screw inside the cylinder. The set screw will tightened at bottom which keeps the cylinder from sliding out. Mount the drop post lever to the cylinder and use the 3mm screw to secure the lever.
Thank you for sharing this! I appreciate your detailed reply and I’ll see what I can do about elevating your comment so that ppl can get right to the install tips. Thank you again, much appreciated!
