Honestly the whole Prospect of it is Staind deeply by the majority of DOT requirements in the past but the next Generation of Japanese motorcycle will have blind spot warning system and then 5 to 10 years they might become required as they did with the backup cameras in 2019, but by far the most interesting thing is a complete heads up display integrated through either glasses or somehow projected through the helmet.
@kalebfurrow7369
@kalebfurrow7369 Месяц назад
you would need a heads up display the reaction speed wouldn't be feasible if you had to look at the dash

way too much money for not having a brake signal. Wireless brake signal techs been around for 30 years. That one is just a big overpriced red light.

Thanks for your comment. I am stopped all the time by other riders asking where they can get a Brake Free unit. I have noticed cars staying further behind me. I suggest looking at other reviewers as well. It lights up when you are slowing BEFORE you even apply the brakes. Such as in the case of engine braking. John

@@SoulFuel001 I ended up buying one just to check it out. I still think they dropped the ball by not having a brake signal though. Or at least the option, especially for the price. They were talking about another version years ago but looks like it never happened.

Interesting. My car has a similar feature and I do like it in the car. This sort of thing can actually be distracting until you have used it for a while. But, since I almost never ride on multi lane roads I'll probably pass.

Welcome to the channel. Thanks for the comment. Please Subscribe, Like and Share with your friends www.youtube.com/@SoulFuel001?sub_confirmation=1 . I personally don't find it distracting. Just the opposite, it gets my attention when somebody comes up fast or switches quickly from a couple lanes over. When I do ride on multi-lane highways I love the added safety! John

I am riding a 2022 Kawasaki Concours 14. I ride 24/7/365, cold and rainy. The Concours has handled magnificently in the weather. It has been the best all-weather bike that I have owned, having spent 25 years on Harleys. I have been considering buying a new Goldwing in a year or two, but I am curious about weather protection and the bike's ability to handle wet weather on its components. My bike always sits under a carport at home or work.

I really like this bike. Local dealer has one that is decked out with the side bags and top bag along with the crash protection and extra lighting. Looks nice, but I probably wouldn't go for all the extras because it adds a good bit to the price. I guess a guy could always add it later. I love that it has the tubeless spoke wheels. I would use this bike mainly as a touring bike. I know it can do some off road, but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking any bike this heavy off road more that a dirt road. I know there are people who can take these on a gnarly single track, but that guy isn't me. My biggest sticking point right now is it would be hard to choose which bike to give up for one of these.

I had my hesitation too when I purchased mine. And I will say the 22 model I bought new had setback in the electrical which took a few months to sort out but it’s a phenomenal bike. Frankly I’ve taken this bike out to places I should not have and did just fine. It is a capable machine.

I have the same bike, 2020. I so love my bike. In 35 years of riding, I would say straight out, the best machine ever, for me. Yes, not perfect, but for me IT IS. This is my commute machine and can't wait to ride it. I keep looking on the web if one day I will have the need to ride something else, and I just can't find it. No HD, no BMW, Honda IS the best touring bike in the world.

I had a 2017 Road King. Loved it. I had two reasons for trading. 1) My wife wanted the tour pack for long trips along with the stereo. 2) I wanted navigation. I went from the 107 to the 114 when I got my Ultra Limited in 2019. That was a plus, but I didn’t trade for that reason. If I was riding solo, the Road King would still be my “go to” bike.

A great bike, the only cons are the computer screen is old and very cheap quality, the paint is weak and scratches very easily, inside the saddlebags is very small. Im 6 3" the leg room is brutal, you'll need highway pegs. Other than that this is a great touring bike. And thank you Honda for making the wing smaller, great idea. It was getting way too friggin big. More color choices would be great. Thanx.

I prefer not having a heel shifter. I like to move my feet around on the floor boards and the heel shifter locks your feet in one position. I do prefer the gauge layout on the Street Glide better, but I also think it needs a taller wind screen.

100% Agree SF! Many city municipalities PD Depts for years use this chassis, suspension and engine configuration. Over time riders seek auxiliary lighting, suspension, exhaust and HD OEM engine upgrade kits. Even the Specials get owner treatment. That’s the motorcycle world we live in. Woohoo! Good times.

A Duck Walking gear? Seriously?
@SoulFuel001
@SoulFuel001 7 месяцев назад
Welcome to the channel. Thanks for the comment. I can see were you would think that. I'm totally against "Duck Walking" your bike. This mode isn't for pulling up at red lights when the traffic edges forward. It's for parking on inclines/declines and/or gravel/dirt. It's helps with the confidence to easily maneuver. Absolutely love the walking and reverse modes. Use them daily to finesse it into that perfect placement in my garage. Works every time. Love the DCT in every respect. Slow speeds is much different as there is no friction zone. I keep that all in mind when I enter situations I feel I can not navigate competently if the requiring space is limited. This is why Honda engineered the walking or reverse modes. Use it without hesitation. It’s not about being an agility course competitor. But maneuvering and handling your Gold Wing safely. Thanks for the video.

Back in the days my instructor told me: make sure you have enough space around you to escape danger. Good advice is still follow after all these years. What i taught myself was: anything on 4 wheels is out there to kill me so i don't trust cars and try to avoid em as much as possible.Lanesplitting? Not for me, unless i have to. I try to come home every day in one piece because there is always another day to ride. Stay safe ya'll and keep the rubber side down.

There’s only a couple things that I’m not crazy about the gold wing no floorboards or forward foot placement I know it’s a fantastic motorcycle possibly the best made but I am hooked on the floorboards, the heal- toe shift and the forward riding position on Harley’s stretching out is everything to me if Honda ever finds a way to make that happen I’m all in and perhaps one day I will anyway

I was going about 20kph (12 mph?) practicing my counter steering when gravel happened and the bike decided I wasn’t supposed to ride it. Kevlar in the jeans saved my skin, armours saved my kneecap and hip from anything other than a bruised ego. Bike was fine, I was fine but that is 170% because of armour and gear. Man, just wear your gear. And for the love of all that is holy, drink non-alcoholic beer if you’re riding. No one cares what’s in your bottle.

Soul Fuel, Thanks for taking the time to make this video. We've had the exact same bike, an '18 Tour DCT Airbag now for about 7 months now and love it to death. We purchased it with a mere 5,300 miles on it and it pretty much is flawless in all respects. The DCT to me, is just pure pleasure. I don't need to shift to feel like I'm controlling a motorcycle. My left hand and foot are totally relaxed and so am I on this bike. I would like to ask you a question though. I am forever on a quest to find the best scenario for communication WITHOUT WIND NOISE in our comm system. May I ask, since you're narration is for the most part, totally wind-noise-free, what head set brand and model are you using? Have you edited your video to lessen the wind noise or, is what we're hearing while you're riding, the way it was recorded? I thank you again for this. Scott

Yep, when the helmets are on, we make sure the mic(s) are tucked up in between the mouth and the inside of the chin bar. The helmets we're using are marketed by Sena. They're actually called a Sena Outrush. They're decent helmets so far but, again, we're looking for something that maybe fits better and, does a better job of cutting back on the wind noise. We're aiming at a pair of Sidici's. Not sure yet. Thanks again. Scott

@@scottraines7419 Scott, Schuberth has a great reputation for very quiet helmets. Check these out on sale www.revzilla.com/schuberth-helmets?view_all=true&page=1&limit=96&facets%5B%5D=5444&facets%5B%5D=414&facets%5B%5D=15117&price_min=5&price_max=899&has_loyalty_discount=false&is_new=false&is_sale=false&is_made_in_usa=false&is_holiday=false&is_blemished=false&sort=best_seller&fit=&gclid%5B%5D=EAIaIQobChMIz4SF3LT44QIVTSOGCh3lWA09EAAYASAAEgIpdvD_BwE&gclid%5B%5D=CjwKCAiAmZGrBhAnEiwAo9qHiV7uHFIK4cY2ZCOHh2z8h6vkS8uwpdhIH8U98eTkxLOC3HSWwoZf8xoCtY8QAvD_BwE&gad_source=1&price=&has_video=false. Also, I know on my Shoei I wound up changing a couple things. 1. I got smaller cheek pads. I went from an XL to Large. That helped a lot. 2. I switched to the Sena HD speakers. Specific to the Goldwing, I make sure the bluetooth is turned OFF on both phones.

My 05 classic is a rad bike .. I would definitely buy another king..I don't like the classic only because the bags don't lock.. but I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this bike. I agree the road king lineup is the best Harley hands down
