It’s very interesting, you are lucky that you have the room for the storage of this equipment. And I like the idea of the extra mains power when moored at anchor or mooring bouy
System is 4kwh LFP, 2400w inverter and 1000w Solar MPPT with bi directional DC charger. About 50% of the costAND lower size / weight of a Victron or Mastervolt equivalent according to my installer. No doubt if you have spare £ OR € OR $, space & load carrying capacity a regular full LFP install could be superior.
Nice video! My local dealer is recommending the Short Shaft instead of Extra Short Shaft for my 15.5 inch transom height. They mentioned the additional length would be helpful in choppy water conditions there would be more chance of the prop coming further out of the water and then unit will begin to lose performance since one blade is no longer catching all of the water it needs to in order to move the boat forward --especially when encountering waves from other boats or wind blown chop. Did you have this experience with Extra Short Shaft unit?
After attempting to inflate my Vango Montelena awning by hand and clearly not achieving the PSI of 7, (I'm a 55 year old woman) I decided to order this pump. I'm on site at the moment and waiting for it. The rain has made my awning fall in on itself so I have to keep pushing the rain off the roof by hand. I have a question for you Peter: Does the nozzle that goes into the awning/tent fit precisely? When I have used the Vango hand pump I can hear air escaping and sometimes it jumps out. Am I doing something wrong with the nozzle? Is there a knack to it? Please help me! lol
MX can tow but for short distances. It consumes too much power and you will be lukey to get 100 to 150 miles on a full 100% charge on a 330mile Tesla. If you have a MX 70 don't even think about getting a caravan as you will have to stop to charge every 100 miles or less.
Not sure if you have seen the stats ..but this published data and two other validation tows proves that the x75d can tow well as per the limitations noted in the video .
@@pwwuk But realistically if you have a loaded trailer with a lot of drag they miles drops like a stone. Try it Peter with your new caravan. In a cold day you might as well forget it. In a good day you might get 150miles before it needs charging.
@@latitudeash Have a look at the proven range & evidence in the video .. Have re-run the test on another route with exactly the same result .. so yes there are limitations .. but as always when looking at EV range, in reality, 120 miles put the New Forrest & iOW in range and Exeter / Devon in range with a single charge so for the vast majority of camping trips it is absolutely fine. However, if I were to do a European tour, clearly I'd borrow a friend's Petrol Estate for that one trip.
Good video was looking at buying this 12 volt pump, I think the extra time to erect the tent would be worth it for the less work plus you could be getting other stuff done while it is inflating, rolling Electric Hook up out putting windbreaks up. Shame the discount code does not work on there site.
Terry Russell at Family Tent Shop confirms AT10 will give 10% Discount .. any probs give him a bell 01483 237744 (I / this thread is not linked nor rewarded for sales)
*Went camping a couple of weeks ago with tent and it was fantastic.>>>**nub.best/y0ot** Very spacious and really easy to erect. Found opening up all windows during the day was also great for airing the tent. Especially as we had 2 adults and 2 dogs sleeping in it.*
