Good interview. He has many interesting insights. He gives an overall, high level view of the law from a federal standpoint, which should unify the country, rather than 50 individual states. It is chaotic with 50 states, 50 divergent opinions and variations.
The ripple effects of our abortion are the waves that eventually wash over us and others. Abortion will inflict its devastation long after the procedure were it not for the forgiveness of God and His continual healing. Love the way He has used the virtual space to reach those in need of healing.
Thanks for taking us back in time to explain the evolution of the healthy part of the movement so that younger people can grasp that abortion was not normal before roe. This is a brilliant and essential interview for historical perspective and analysis. Peggy Hartshorn and Fr. Frank are part of a living legacy. Many people of her age who are prolife can recall when the decision was announced about roe in 1973. It was like hearing a bomb had dropped on young people, threatening the very futures of our desire and ability to have families. The problem was the bomb was unleashed against our will on our generation. It was the equivalent of hearing of a U.S. national tragedy, such as an assault against all existing and future children being unleashed on young people in the U.S. It was similar to an assassination attempt on all future potential children and families. It was an attack against young people. There truly was respect for life before Roe when human life was respected. The rug was pulled out from under Christian morality. It unleashed an eventual tsunami of moral evil on us. On that day, America changed forever and we were mostly helpless and bewildered bystanders. We were young people stsrting our adult lives. We did not have political impact or legal influence. All normal American and immigrant people were naturally "pro-life" back then. The word "prolife" was not a slogan. Abortion barely had a "brand name" - it was a heinous, shameful, cowardly crime. Men suddenly became invisible and irresponsible. The entire burden was on abandoned females who were considered stupid if they got pregnant and thought the male would support them. This decision was imposed on us. We did not know about this or have a choice. It was a Larry Lader Supreme Court act. Abortion was single-handedly foisted on American women by Larry Lader. This was license for females to be placed at risk for coercive sex. The National Right to Life organization was founded at the same time as Heartbeat International. Most of us were young mothers and not available to volunteer in Pregnancy help but some of us had home -based infant child care centers. Peggy makes it clear this movement was built step by step, by a handful of intelligent Christian private, young individuals and couples in their 20's from their own funds. They invented the resources every step of tge way. This was all visionary. God multiplied the resources of the movement like tge biblical loaves and fishes because God multiplies the efforts of those who are willing to work in PRCs. It us a happy part of the movement. I could listen to Peggy for hours. Thanks for this interview. I pray you get 100,000 views. Miracle after miracle after miracle retold here. Inspirational. Some PRCs now offer chastity education in schools or private counseling. Young people do want advice on how to be able to get married before putting themselves at risk for pregnancy. They want the opportunity to be able to create babies in dignified, protected marital relationships.
Hi, I watched this and I'm just so thankful I did. We'll be praying for you guys and that many more people will see this & take the time to really listen to your heart Jennifer and are moved by the Holy Spirit to help.
I had tears in my eyes as Robin told her personal story. Thank you God for Robin and all those who do God's work in the world, lifting us all up. Lord, protect the defenceless, help us turn from evil toward You. Great interview!
"John stressed the importance of unity within the pro-life movement despite differing strategies, like incrementalism versus abolitionism, and shared personal lessons on collaboration and resilience" The importance of unity is the crux of this mission. Our voices must be heard, and our stories must shared.
Thank you for sharing your story & for sharing about Deeper Still! My retreat was in September 2022 & completely changed my life! As I now work for a PRC, I have shared my story with so many & have been so blessed to walk alongside them through their own healing. Our state is now fighting against a ballot initiative to amend our state constitution & we need more post-abortive women to speak out about their experience & the impact it has on life after that "choice".
@@irapture Watched this twice now. I love strong women like this who are not afraid to go there and say things that aren't so popular but will speak the truth! We need more women like this who will SPEAK UP!
@@irapture I have watched some other videos of Catherine Davis now, and she is so knowledgeable, and so interesting to listen to! If you ever have her on again, I would love to hear her just give her story. I would love to hear where she came from and how she got to where she is now, her struggles that lead her here. :-)
This is huge and needs to be seen!! Thank you so much for this excellent interview!! So informative, encompassing of the topic, and done with Christ-like compassionate for all parties. This is a tender topic for many of our neighbors, and yet a spiritual battlefield for God’s tiniest image bearers. I will pray the reach is far and wide!! God entrusted our family with three biological children, called us to embryo adoption (EA), and led us to the NEDC. We also received a lot of good information from the Snowflakes program along the way! We consider you partners in this fight and are cheering you on! Our precious boy via EA just turned one and we are in awe of all God has done in and through this journey. We are so passionate about spreading the word! Two quick additions/clarifications regarding the NEDC for those who may not be familiar with their values and mission and how they operate. I believe if asked their personal/ professional opinions, the majority of NEDC staff would advocate for open adoption. However, in any effort to advocate for each and every embryo, they present open and closed donation/ adoption as equally acceptable options to perspective parents. I believe some donor couples donate their embryos with the idea of an open agreement and others believe in giving them a chance at life but do not want any involvement. Research and conversations with donor conceived people will quickly sway you toward an open agreement, but all embryos deserve a chance at life, regardless of their donors’ feelings/ wishes about involvement. As far as the matching process, rather than the donor couple choosing the adopting couple, the NEDC provides adopting (or recipient) couples with access to the list of embryos in waiting first. In an open adoption path, once the recipients choose an embryo or group of embryos, the donor couple is given the option to choose them back or decide it’s not the best fit. The order is reversed but donors are given a say if they choose an open agreement.
This is a ground-breaking podcast. Thank you so much for a top-level presentation on this vital, essential topic by a fantastic spokesperson. Let's all pray for needed awareness leading to many adoptions of embryos. It is a sobering topic.
This is a very important podcast. Congratulations! I hope and pray that there will be many viewers who will hear this and be motivated. God creates one life at a time. Often, the rescue is one mother and child at a time. Another key is father involvement.
Thank you so very much Jacob & Jill. As a Director of a pregnancy center, this information is essential for all of us to know. Thank you for the work you do. . Amen. The Lord is near. He is with us.
I am glad you found this epsisode helpful and thank you for sharing your reflections/thoughts. I appreceiate the feedback. I agree that PHC directors need information like this :) So I am glad that you found this :)
Excellent, thank you. Great education, information and historical perspective. Black people have the power to end abortion is a key rallying point. This provides a good overview.
Excellent, thank you both for this presentation by Albert Reyes discussing his ministries and experiences to inform and educate viewers Also hopefully to motivate Christian churches to provide practical support. Also to teach the necessity for fathers to be present in the home with the mother and children. He said there are needs for children to be adopted. Foster care 7,000 children in Texas awaiting adoption. Great "solutions for life" are offered and proven.
Christians lie a lot. They will tell you they believe the Bible is the word of God only to deny what is written in the Bible. This is a great example. Genesis 2:7 states, “Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature". When does their Bible say life begun? Loving Christians have called those having abortions "baby killer". If you read the Bible you learn the god of the Bible, without remorse, drown babies who hadn't lived long enough to sin. Being born is a biblical sin. First born sons in Egypt who were not responsible for the transgressions of their parents were murder by a loving god. In the Bible god is a baby killing machine.
Great job Jacob and Shawn. Thank you both for sharing your thoughts and experience on these complex issues. The notion that medically qualified pregnancy centers can provide informed consent equally if not better than an abortion clinic is spot on. Separating what is being searched from what is being provided is also another critical point that was well made. Keep up the fight!
You don't know for sure that the embryo or fetus would've survived to childbirth. You don't know if it was anembryonic and never had a chance of being a live birth. You don't know that if it survived and was born that it would be grateful to have been born. I bet he never thought of all those possibilities plus a bunch of others. I will say that dumping his girlfriend the day after the abortion was pretty cold though. You said your mom threatened to castrate you if you got anyone pregnant. That makes me wonder what your ex-girlfriend was thinking 🤔
Maybe the fetus he saved that day when he gave a talk and a pregnant lady mouthed "Thank you" eventually became a school shooter and killed a bunch of other people's kids. I don't see the sense in suffering over decisions about non-sentient life. You only know probabilities about the future.
There are many things that I don't know and none of them justify evil. Abortion is evil. Abortion is sin. Abortion is the intentional ending of a human life. If you would like to have a conversation on a future podcast episode let me know and I will invte you to be a guest on the show :)
