I watched this video and had every intention to follow it as it seemed very well done. I assembled the trailer completely, so I could check it out. I then called our Pawblo over and said OK Pawblo inside, and he jumped right in. That surprised me, to be sure. I will say all videos I have watched regarding the DOGGO Trailer were informative. Pawblo loves going for rides with us.. Thank you DOGGO

Just bought Two E Bikes gonna pull Pawblo (Mini Labradoodle, "From J&T Doodles") in one of these pretty soon. Nothing I have found in Two months research compares unless you want to spend 1K + Euros. The Doggo Trailer is worth it IMO and trust me when I say I have LOOKED! Plus it's CANADIAN 🇨🇦

Ma carriole est profonde alors il faut être en effet bien patient. Son apprentissage inclut des pauses, des mini-siestes, des allers-retours avec la cuisine. Mais elle y revient. 😊😊 Vidéo très utile !

Thank you so, so much! I followed you guide with introducing the trailer, the trailer movement, the treats, and comfort....Today my dog hopped in the trailer, remained calm, and I got to ride around our cul de sac with no fuss, nervous panting, or panic barking...this is amazing!! Thank you again!

I used a trailer for a bit, and I really didn't care for it and neither did Calypso. I ended up getting myself a sidecar, and Calypso likes it much better because she's at my side instead of being pulled from behind. There's sidecars out there that are designed like these trailers that will attach to most bikes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kMeGysReVbg.htmlsi=z9UQlO3cqXBNee6O

Nice trailer, And a well done video. Pulling my service dog in a trailer behind me doesn't seem enjoyable for me or the dog. I'm not able to drive because of a seizure disorder and it's very difficult to use Uber or Lyft traveling with a service dog, always denied rides because of dog. I did a lot of research on ways to transport my service dog on a bike. I came across sidecars, best thing ever! The only problem I have with Calypso, is getting her out of it when done riding the bike.

EXCELLENT video. Thank you for teaching pet parents how to make life more enjoyable for them and their pets. The concepts here can be applied to so many other activities beyond bike trailers. I used these steps for my pet carrier and now he loves it. The biggest most important concept I learned from your video is to forget all about fear and pain, and focus on praise and reward. Thank you!!!

Excellent Video. I have an e cargo Trike so I can't have it in the house, it won't fit, but for training purposes I'll be trying your methodology. Thank you so much ❣️🥰

Thank you very much for this tutorial. Instinctively I introduced my dog the same way. But she is a stubborn Rottweiler. At first I got her to jump in the trainer and even spend some time inside. However, the movement of the trailer scares her so much that won’t jump in any more. How can I get her back to trust this thing. Treats won’t lure her in. She doesn’t buy it. 😊 Any ideas? Many thanks!

Great job on this video. I really appreciate you helping people be successful in this training. You made it look easy and I'm excited to see my doggos smiles from the trailer 😊

Good for you, some dogs can be problematic with it, mine kept trying to jump out while I was moving the bike and growled at a cat, so many distractions

My biggest fear is that he will get in at home and get out at the far end and never get in again. Then we will be stuck miles from home with him refusing to get in it ever again.

It is funny, but most of this applies to riding with a dog or dogs in a sidecar, as I did for years with mine. I had three who rode with me on my Ural sidecar all the time. Getting each trained to ride was sort of an individual experience in training for each, but patience and calm prevailed and they rode like champs afterwards. I am currently building a barrel-airplane style trailer for my electric bike to pull my two dogs I own now. Once again, when I have it built, I'll be using the very same techniques as this to train both of them to ride safely in the bike trailer. Thanks for sharing the video. I enjoyed watching it, as it brought back some great memories. ;-)

My dog got used to the sidecar on my Jawa from a puppy, much easier when they're very young & everything is new to them anyway.

At the end of your technique all you will have is a very fat dog with gas. Stop giving those junky treats laced with chemicals. My technique to dog: Get in there! Zip up cover. Ride your bike. At the park dog gets out and has a nice time. Then again - Get in there! Ride home. Give dog praise and dinner. Repeat for a week. By the 5th day, dog will jump in of its own accord. Training done. You don't bribe endlessly. You command. If the dog trusts you and your ability to lead, it will follow you. If not, force the dog to go in. You are boss. Once dog knows its fun, it will jump in by itself. Don't pander endlessly.

the only thing you should force is unwanted trespassers off your property at odd hours.... you won't ever get anywhere forcing any animal.. you'll only end up with a timid former shade of itself animal at best....training isn't meant to be one sided......
@mjremy2605
@mjremy2605 Год назад
@@TheMashyman Ok, I meant you have to be firm, not force. A dog that trusts you will listen eventually. Initially all dogs are scared of this weird contraption but will oblige you if you are firm. You should not use force, just be firm. You are right about that. Forcing against anyone's will is not productive.

I kinda agree. I'd say it depends on how timid your dog is. In agility training my dog would happily go through just about any obstacle after leading her through 1 or 2 times, but other dogs had to be stepped through numerous times with lots of treats and tons of praise. I would probably plop her in, take a few slow laps to see how she does, then go for it. At the end of the day, they just want to be with you. Make it fun and act like it is normal.

Was searching review videos of the carrier I was gonna get and came across ur video and I must say lucky I did. I would’ve just made my dog go in and went straight for a ride. He would’ve probably gave me an issue and been scared too. Thank u for this video. It makes complete sense and I will definitely let him get familiar with it 1st. Take care

Hey I wondered if you cab train both of your dogs at the same time or if I should teach one of them and then the other?

We are getting a new puppy and I want to get him use to the trailer we are buying. Are other two dogs were never trained with treats it was just by praise and talking can does the technique of praise and talking work to?
