Thank you!!! I had to do a cover page for my wife's classroom Space book and it had a bleed lines everywhere on the background and I was able to salvage it thanks to your video!
Just getting back to my art after 30yrs of life getting in the way. I have complete sets of unused prismacolors from 1985. I think it's time they got used. Thx for the motivation to get em out.
Hi I am new to your channel I love everyone videos and coloring pages I color for three years and I love sharing my pictures to anyone I watch the whole way though videos
Hi. Have you shoppedlireka. You don't have to pay shipping and handling. They offer a discount for first time buyers. They cost less than Amazon. They deliver pretty quick too.
I prefer the cushion not be there. A lot of times they are made of rubber. Which I am allergic too. I'm personally glad they took that into consideration.
Hello Donna, I realize this video is 5 years old, and actually the last video you posted was 3 yrs ago. So I'm not sure if you will get this comment. I just had 2 questions. You showed that Jade Summer swatch book, can you actually swatch any type of medium on that? The Prismacolors work on this, because they really don't work on just any paper. Also if you use watercolor pencils can you use them on this paper, and alcohol markers? I see the FC Pitt works well on this with the India Ink. Actually the Pitt pens, did you notice sfter a while they dry out? I have the same 60 set and I have to say the light colors get dry faster. I hope to hear from you if you get this message. Thank you Judith
I know this is a very old video, and I'm sorry to drag you back here (although it's not really dragging you anywhere since it's just a comment and I've been subbed for a while but hardly ever say anything lmao). I had actually been using this with my acrylic paints for a WHILE, not as a ground but to keep them from drying out in the palette (you put a few drops on top of the paint when you're done for the day, cover the palette, and it keeps the paint fresh longer), and to extend my paints. It had NEVER occurred to me to use it in my coloring books, and I continued to use gesso, which is awesome for watercolor paint but chews the life out of pencils and the nibs on my (very expensive) Kuretake Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. So when I started seeing people talking about using the Satin Glazing Liquid as a prep for coloring pages, a lightbulb went on over my head. Like, duh, Mo, it would absolutely dry to a smoother finish, you would use so much less, and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Also, I became more willing to buy coloring books by artists trapped in a contract with Amazon and forced to publish with KDP or Create Space papers, which we all know are abominable. Even if I'm not using wet media, the glazing liquid gives the paper so much more weight and just a bit more tooth, without being overwhelmingly crusty like gesso. I still use gesso if I'm going to be painting 80% or more of the picture with watercolor paint, and I'm definitely not saying the glazing liquid should REPLACE the gesso on anyone's art supply shelves, at least not mine. But it absolutely has a spot of prominence right next to it, and it's always what I reach for when coloring if pencils or brush pens are involved. PS: You can use a heat gun (mine is a $19.99 hot pink blow drier from CVS lol) to dry both gesso and the glazing liquid if you don't want to wait hours. Just be sure the page is thoroughly dry or it will be a disaster.
Do these flow better than alcohol based markers?.. I think Ecoline flow better than Copic Ciao I have tried both and I feel that when I move fast and make many lines quickly Copic cannot keep up a solid colour but the water Ecolone can. Is this your experience?
