I'm Danielle: I LOVE learning, creating, & growing things. My channel covers my adventures with homesteading, crafting, sewing, woodworking, DIY, hacks that make my life easier (so I have more time!), and more. I occasionally work on big projects, such as my she shed or finishing our basement bathroom, but I also do many small crafts with my Cricut machine, laser cutting machine, and woodworking tools. I am not a licensed contractor- I'm a woman who wanted stuff done and I learned how to DIY it because I frequently can't afford to hire someone. I also love being able to create unique products and items when I have a need, and can't find exactly what I want for sale. I want to empower others to do the same.

Please leave me a comment if you have any requests. I'm working to have my videos closed captioned so they're accessible to those who are hearing impaired (or who hate noise). If there's one you would like to see captions for, leave me a comment.

How do you get the bottom seal to go on and stay on. ?
@gerodnielsen805
@gerodnielsen805 19 дней назад
You're supposed to cut your first piece so that all the joints land on the center of the studs all your studs should be on 16 inches to center that would make a 4 foot piece land center to center on all your studs you should never have to fill in sometimes you do if the studs are not on 16 teens like 1 or 2 but most are. And yes you can make your butt joints look just like the Reveals on the rest of the bead board. You should always do furring strips and then level and string line your entire wall and shim every single one of those furnished strips out to a quarter inch from the line so when you go to put all your panels there's no waves or issues with your butt joints. Prep prep prep prep. It's actually the most important part of any carpentry job the job. Here is a link to a photo of a job that I did. Just to prove that I am very very experienced but. And I'm now 44 and still learning. Keep my cut half empty always. photos.app.goo.gl/9xuH6e5ToPRMZARq9

How often do you change the filter and mop roller ?
@babystepsgarden6162
@babystepsgarden6162 24 дня назад
Actually, sheet rock can and will get moisture behind it given the amount of humidity encountered. Spraying an anti bacterial/ anti microbial/ anti mold solution (many kinds are available) in the space behind the paneling, and on the back of the paneling is a good idea, But! Make sure to use a respirator that is rated for gas. The dust/pollen masks won't do the job.

When, after self-cleaning, I take out the roller to dry, I do not replace it with another dry one, the tineco simply charges without the roller. but while charging, the engine seems to be working quietly and the power icon appears once from left to right, then a break and again until it reaches 100%, is it supposed to be like that??

@doityourselfdanielle
@doityourselfdanielle 2 месяца назад
Mixed feelings! I have a bunch of different Omlet (and non Omlet) setups now. Haha. I like the taller ones. If I plan to spend a lot of time with the animal. It's just easier for me to get in. For the animals I spend less time with, these are great. I like having fresh bedding whenever I move them and I think it cuts down on the cost of bedding as well. I prefer the ones that the wheels are on the outside because my chicks are sometimes dumb and like to stand near the wheels while I'm trying to move it.

Can u use molding for gaps with two panels install? 8 foot ceiling ? I going for corrugated ceiling. R13 batts and baffle air gap to puck vents on soffits ceiling and walls.

You can use moulding. I have also seen an alternative to beadboard that's actually fire-safe... it's pvc interlocking panels. I've been eyeballing them but haven't worked with them yet or seen costs. Tempting option for my next build though. It looks easy to clean.

I guess I’m confused. It’s waterproof but they still want you to caulk the edges. Plus you already have Schluter behind the stuff so I’m still not understanding why the caulk between the panels.
@doityourselfdanielle
@doityourselfdanielle 4 месяца назад
Because water goes through gaps? 1st- It's waterproof if you install it properly. 2nd- Just because it's waterproof doesn't mean water won't go through seams. In theory, water might get trapped behind the tiles if it went through. Would the tiles rot? I don't imagine they would. But you'd have a nice warm moist area for mold to grow. 3rd- Not caulking some projects is just sloppy. When you've spent hours installing something, don't skip the last step that only takes minutes. We have tile in our upstairs bathroom, installed by whomever. I have wondered how we'd know if mold was behind those tiles if the install hadn't been done properly. Pretty sure we'd need to wait until we had health issues and tested. 😬

Luckily, your gate has a large enough gap between it to the pole, so the wheel fits in. Is it lighter than before installing the wheel?
