I'm a student of western classical violin. In this video apart from this legendary violinist. There is a 3rd guy who is playing Dhol/drum like instrument like Tabla, somewhere in the background. I think he's the main key for making this two violinist sounds so beautiful.. please forgive me if i was wrong 😊❤
I had a vague memory that I had seen a recording by Dr. Subramaniam of the Enescu Third Violin Sonata, but I just now tried to find it, and this was as close as I could come. I have the CD of a concert he played in France, "Subramaniam En Concert," and the raga is spellbinding. I have given that CD as a gift many times.
@@anilraghu8687 Our music is entirely based on mano dharma. Each raga will have its own notes. There is a classification like janya raga, janaka raga, jeevam and so on. The Indian classical musician can reproduce any musical item, by simple listening. Ours is great.
L Subramanyams works are not strictly based on raga and they are his composition. Anyway the whole plan cannot be synchronised across the orchestra without notes as raga can be played in many ways.
@@anilraghu8687 May be his own compositions, like many other musicians. There is no such rule, prohibiting composition of new raga. I prefer our classical music of all other types of music. Besides I heard many performances of Dr. Subramaniam, right from 1970s. He is one of the versatile musicians of South.
