Be careful with those quilts. I see other people being tormented by people complaining that they’re being repurposed…. Like WHAT! Do what you want, you bought it. I love all of those quilts and have you tried Folex for the stains… a round or two usually removes those set in stains for me.

A friend and I tried this last week in our fiber group. We could not do rows all the way to the top because the "needle" is too big and our old hands are too weak. Then we could not lift off the warp threads from the bottom. I think this product needs some tweaking.

I'm sorry you had such a hard time with the loom. It does get tight at the top, but I was able to get pretty close. And I used the comb to get the warp threads off the loom. I think it's definitely something you get better at the more you practice.

Literally just finished my first one a few minutes ago. First of many! So much magic happened. 1) Didn't have a cutter quilt so I decided to hand stitch and quilt a piece to look vintage. I used the back side of some fabrics to make it look faded and well washed and loved. 2) When I squared it, it was 1/8" larger than 15"x18" from a random pattern (Arkansas Kite) I chose. 3)When I went through my canvas, I found a piece exactly 15"x18"😯 4) I made the tote to carry my EPP projects. I have a small cutting mat which fits perfectly on the long side of the Maker Caddy. All my other little organizers fit nicely as well. So happy with this Makers Caddy! Very easy to follow tutorial and it came together like a charm. Thank you so much!! I have been making totes and crossbody handbags for a while. I have one tip for those with machines that might not be super heavy duty. If the side seams seem too thick for your machine to topstitch, I take a small hammer, cover the seam area with some scrap fabric, lay them on a piece of wood, and gently hammer the seam until it flattens out. I have worked with denim and other thick materials and this trick helps a lot.

I'm sooooo glad you enjoyed this and made your own caddy! and what great luck that you had some canvas at the exact size! Your tip about using the hammer on the seams is spot on--thank you!
