I thing i didt like about dead island 2 was not having cars you can Drive and Loading screens to get to Different parts of the map but the game play was good
I really liked Dead Island 2, but the ending was absolute BS. *SPOILER WARNING BELOW.* You’re telling me nothing even happens? Tisha runs off and oh, that’s the end? Why not have the military take Tisha in for testing and tell the player character “Everyone in Hell-A will be under quarantine until we can get this cure mass-produced, so you and all of your friends need to stay here.” And if they want another game, they could say that the military botched cure production and the autophage have now taken over (other area) We didn’t even bother telling Patton about the lifeguard HQ, Roxanne’s house, or everyone else that we knew of, life just continues on. We saved 3 people, our main characters didn’t reunite with their friends or family they spoke of, and the story didn’t even end. 😭
The developers themselves said this is basically a remake, but I understand your point. In my eyes it’s like the Demon Souls or Shadow of the Colossus remakes.
Unfortunately I’ve just lost all interest in DL2. There’s almost nothing appealing about it for me, and after trying to stick with it for these last 2+ years I’ve had enough. Though the community with the custom maps and big projects look promising, shoutout to them.
Hopefully they eventually say what happened to the characters from the end of DR3... There's absolutely zero explanation in DR4. Did Isabela just get away with what she did? Did Chuck's daughter get cured? Etc.
I recently started a new playthrough on nightmare but it was wayyy too hard. I ran out of weapons too and soft locked myself so I just restarted on normal.
I don’t care what the haters say. This game is fun. Yes, it may lack endgame content, but the map is huge. There’s a lot of parkour opportunities that keep updating it even though sometimes it could be some slow or big updates plus guns and when you’re jumping off and slow Mo, it’s a whole different game. They still need a little bit more at night but it’s so fun game. I invested $230. I bought a collectors edition and a deluxe edition you know I love this game so I’m gonna keep it.

Probably because a lot of people expect better with a sequel and in this case their expectations were justified because techland made a lot of promises during e3 just to fall flat on them. The thing most people don't realize is dying light 2 is only going to get better with time and we still got dlc2 to look forward to. And even then, dying light 2 is a pretty fun game on its own which is why me, you and plenty of others have fun playing it and are willing to stick with it.
I personally think it is inappropriate that no one talks about the Renaissance project on Russian RU-vid (I am Russian myself, я русский), and such an ambitious project is talked about only in the West, and no one here at all. Although there are a couple of RU-vidrs who filmed about E3 Definitive mode, but these are just a few, and the channels themselves are small, and the larger channels do not talk about it
DL covers alot of bases other zombie games dont, -a sense of strength and skill progression -huge almost skyrim levels of verticality, you see a skyscraper? You can climb that -a day night system that changes up how you play -difficulties that cater to low level and hardcore players -wide selections of weapons and craftables that can be upgraded and customized to your liking -an extremely well designed parkour system, say what you like but the only game that comes close is mirrors edge Theres lots of stuff to nitpick like any game of course, but overall i have high hopes for the next few bits of content
And before anyone jumps in with "buhhh the games EZ with exploits" that's not how it was intended to be played and I honestly hope TC patches out those exploits just so I can watch all the people who use them absolutely seethe
Im more concerned about the repetitive combat (humans) like i once saw a renegade attack like the for honor event guys and i really enjoyed fighting him
I hope we get a dlc where we go into the main city of la like imagine slaying zombies downtown, it’s ashame the map isn’t fully available due to its size but it would be sick to add more areas where we can go
Man i wish techland and dambuster srudios could work together since a dead island 2 game with advanced parkour will be like the og dying light but more gruesome
