Always gotta come back to this shot every now and then. The greatest regular season shot ever and this damn ruined the nba, everybody wanna be a 3 point shooting team now. 🤦🏿♂️
That isn't so much of a great play as much as it is an underused mind game. The pacers should have let it go out of bounds, but they're so in the moment they fail to consider that.
Why is it ever better to turn it over? Worst case the warriors get fouled and go up 2 with <2 seconds. Imagine if Halliburton or someone else made a half court 3…
Why risk an easy win? Prevent injury. Better to take the confirm win than not. They foul, basket miss 1, then they make a 3, then OT2. Who knows what could happen in 2 seconds. Crazier things have happen in nba with lesser time
@@sabahbubbler If the pacers let it go out of bounds like EVERY OTHER team would’ve, they would’ve had a chance to win the game. If Kerr really called this play, he’s crazy af.
That comment at the end is exactly why you turn the ball over. Cause you're up two, and they don't have any timeouts, if you catch the ball they are going to foul your worst free throw shooter and you're gonna have to hope you win that coin flip. But if you essentially throw them the ball in bounds, GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, then the player has to either overhead tom Brady that thing full court or somehow turn around, pass it to another guy, and they have to shoot it over half court all with in two seconds. This is basically the only scenario where turning it over is a viable solution. But man, the fact you even try that is both reckless and brilliant
most guys would have sprinted to the hoop with the ball and thrown up some off balance shot at the buzzer. steph just chilled and decided he was content with a logo 3
this was one of the best regular season games i've ever seen. both teams were ascending with so many stars on both teams. as i recall, igoudala hit 2 free throws to send it to overtime, and then Curry stuck his dagger to win it. fantastic back and forth game.
