All that said. The walk of shame bit had me rolling. Which also triggers the walk of shame. It's a self for filling prophecy. Fantastic paint job! Great to meet you sir. Fantastic run!! I'll be watching you closely! Blew me out of the water! Nice we both are using the 360 cameras
Wow, did I struggle to search for your channel. I'm subbed , I searched and searched. I, by chance, saw this video on my son's profile, which was on my TV. Grabbed my phone and nothing. I had to go to my own channel and search for your comments to fins you again.
This was really nice to watch, Nick! Yeah, I already feel I know you from last year, you are quite prominent and engaged in this, it's awesome! Yes, I will make sure to shoot an intro and shakedown video, but it will still be a week or so before I can get proper started. It'll be such a lot of fun, all the roll-overs, the walks of shame, the damage, the disappointments and frustrations, blood sweat and tears, all for a few miles more on the board... Yeah, we're a bunch of stupid people doing this, ha ha!
Hey glad your back! Car looks great and we know you will be a top contender this year. I am running in the open category this year but as a twist my buddy Mark is running the brushed category. Great luck to you and keep it a secret but you cost me some sleep last year and kept us on our toes!
Hi Nick, what a great introduction! Haha yeah, the walk of shame, I think Rob Brennan came up with that a few years ago and it stuck!!! And not pressing start on the speed app is something we always forget to do! Your car looks great in that livery and you got off to a good start, I'll be lucky to beat that on my final run!!! Thanks for the tips along the way about hopping up this chassis. Good luck mate! 😎🏁👍
Do any of the Clones have the weight capacity for a 100 kg rider? Are any Clones NOT built sub standard quality to keep the price low? I know that's a loaded question but what I am referring to is parts that are obviously built so cheaply they will not do their intended job & will need to be replaced. Thank you.
@@daytriker well I can’t answer as I’m not a 100kg rider. I’m a 55-60kg rider. This bike has been my main form of transport since I built it and other than tyres I’ve had no issues or breakages. I have very little doubt that the seat post I’m using wouldn’t take 100kg. I have it on its height limit and it has some flex. So I would say that it’s not suitable for someone of that weight. I think the frame is certainly ok for that weight. It’s really no different to my Brompton except it’s welded not brazed.
Yes lotta rumblings around that the chassis is thinner and more bendy. Kinda glad i canned my preorder. That and the numbering nonsense. If i got 1 i wanted to build it from new since i only had hand-me-downs as a kid and to run it. not worrying about a stamp #. Oh well. -U10
The "Limited" marketing is just a money grab... But you can't deny it seems to work. You see these pop up on RU-vid everywhere and people who aren't even interested in the car will buy one. Because it is "Limited"... Then these boxes will colect dust for years and pop up on e bay after some years. Anyways, i hope to see you drive yours later👍🏁😎
Don't scratch the limited edition pan lol Marketing gimmicks are out of control because there are no longer repercussions for outlandish claims. Just the world we live in. Enjoy your beautiful new car.
Do you frequently take your bike along when commuting via train? If it's folded and covered in a bag cover (for example the Brompton one), are you permitted to push it around within train stations, or is it strictly required to always remain inside the bag and carried by hand?
In Japan, I always put it in the bag outside the station so it’s completely covered and carry it. I just use a cheap ikea dimpa bag. I do this with both the original Brompton and the copy.
I’m not sure to be honest, I just always carry mine. the saddle needs to be covered which I think is what I’d be pushing it with, so you’d need a big cover
I loved this review. How has your Aceoffix been over the last year? I've been looking for Brompton T-Line clone but I don't know which one. Also, I'm looking for a build with 20" wheels. That would mean longer forks and a custom rear triangle. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
It’s been great. It’s done some serious mileage with no issues. Actually I’ve had some issues with the light weight inner tubes but that’s it. I will mark a long term review I think.
i have to tell u theres 2 different tamiya porsche 959 u have 2 different parts you are using with the build there in the video so its not all original because the parts on it are mixed up on it thanks for the video
Thanks, I know. There’s actually a mix of 4 parts in there. Some are from mk1 959, some mk2 and some Toyota grpb. What I mean in the video is that they are original Tamiya parts.
hello i'm trying to fix the speed controller for the tamiya porsche 959 i need the red and black wires where can u buy the original wire for it thanks does any one have a broken one for sale where the wires are good thanks
Difficult question to answer. The silver can motor or the sport tune motors these come with are slow. I’ve run technigold and Dynatech motors in this chassis as well a brushless. The chassis will hand all of them. The brushless does have a tendency to take flight though. So if you want to keep them in good condition, keep the original motor. If you want to go more that 30kph then those motors have to go.
@@michalkalavsky sorry I meant to be more helpful than that but got called away. Here’s the link. www.aliexpress.com/item/32311088129.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.30851802qnEf8u&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt
Hands down, the nicest RC10CC out there. The translucent silver paint and the black/white/silver decals were a home-run idea. Add the details like the motor wires, etc. and you nailed it, Nick.
A great build, I always thought clear plastic could be a problem with being a little brittle. At the price point better quality on some of the parts needed and no bearings as if they know it will only sit on a shelf. Like the wire and motor touch 🙂
Thank you. I have the advantage of time. You guys with the channels need to get the content out there. Still I’m pleased with the reaction to this. The huge amount of people asking me how to do it so they can copy it is both annoying and flattering
A lot of people like the yellow. I mentioned on a fb page about doing this and there were loads of angry replies about ruining its vintage look! But I don’t like them so they’re gone 😀 And yes it’s Blockhead with being blockhead now!
@@thebandit1974 I think the reason I like the yellow it makes the cars stand out on grass a bit more for me. But I do have bad Red/Green colour blindness.
