I’m just looking for an alternative to fairchilds in England. Do you manage to find one at all? What’s the relevancy of the acidity rating? (other than it’s just more acidic 😂)
Unfortunately, all inferior to Fairchilds. I suggest checking out small artisan makers or even farmers markets in the UK. Yes in terms of acidity you will have to add more ACV to water which means it won't last long, fairchilds is a proper family owned business that produces the product properly. Braggs for example dilute their product, also I've been told they add Apeel owned by Bill Gates. I order directly from fairchilds, they deliver only in the United States, however the irish post office offers a great service called addresspal, they have a base in the US that I can use as an address, then they ship it to Ireland for a fee. Maybe their is a service like this where you are based. Denis 👍
I ended up ordering that RAW acv from Amazon in the meantime - you can only spend so much of your day researching this stuff. All stockists I found for Fairchild were out of stock. Dann! Thanks for the info 👍🏻
You actually do not want low numbers... its not how much is dissolved... its WHAT is dissolved...and the pH balance.... distilled water can have an almost zero number, but it super unhealthy to drink because without some mineral content, the water pulls the minerals OUT of your body into an aqueous solution for urine, and actually dehydrates you and can cause deficiencies if consumed long term.
Yes you are 100% correct, I was just comparing the water here in this video. I am taking electrolytes and trace minerals everyday to counter this. Water is a very interesting and complex subject I suggest you check out the RU-vid channel "THE PRINCIPLES" some very interesting information there👍
Good question - pretty much. I have Mortons or Greek toe, so my 2nd toe is actually my longest. The 3 foot types ▪️Egyptian ▪️Greek ▪️Roman, should not stop you from wearing fivefingers. I will do a video on how to know if they are the right fit in the next video as its easier to show it then explain it here.
I've never used a training plan. I don't work as coach, besides paying for a plan you can download one off of Google, there are also apps you can download. 👍. Denis
Maybe try to land with your fifth metatarsal first, and then displace the force and deformation towards your first metatarsal until you have to propulse again with your first and second metatarsals to start the next stride. I had this exact problem when I first started running barefoot and I made the mistake of always landing with the first and second metatarsals first. The little toes of the foot work in a similar fashion to a double wishbone suspension.
Yes I had the old Escalante, a great walking shoe, I'm still on the fence with the racer though (too firm). The Escalante 4 and Escalante racer 2 is out now , so will be interesting to see the reviews 👍
Agreed, I can understand the Escalante Racer being more restrictive because its a racing shoe, older Altra shoes had more volume. You should look into Luna sandals, not for everyone but they might suit you?.
Depends what your goal is really, if your going for a PR/PB then no, if you are running the marathon at an easy pace then yes. The V-Runs are a better option, more cushioning and the breathable upper.
I use size 44eu. I don't use the size guide as my big toe is my second or third longest toe, so I have mountain shaped feet, whereas vibram fivefingers are designed for slope feet
the Escalante Racer are the last good Alra shoes on the market. I don't really think that they are a racing shoe. The foam is just not light enough and doesn't have enough energy return - but it's like the perfect daily trainer. You throw them on, you think about nothing, you run.
Yes agreed, I've stocked up on them. Unfortunately Altras started going downhill years ago with ▪️Stability shoes ▪️x3 toe box sizes are available now ▪️4mm offset
@@Irish_MarathonerSo true... It's such a shame if you think about where they could have gone. Just imagine theses Racers with today's technology. Just imagine the exact same sole made out of a Pebax foam and the exact same upper made out of these ultra thin wires... but aparently that's not where they wanted to go bacause that's not where the money is. They wanted to become part of the running style analysis scam. If you went to a running store 5 years ago they would tell you to steer clear of Altras as they were too minimal and only good for top athletes if at all and would make you go home with a stability shoe that felt heavy and made consumers addicted to a running style that made sure they would buy these "stability shoes" for the rest of their lifes. If you go to one of these scam stores theses days, the same employee who carries the Mizuno box will hold and Altra box in his other hand..... and that's where things have gone wrong massively. Altra set out to destroy the Pegasus/Kayano/Mizuno myths - not join them.....
Man your 5 fingers look nice man. I have like 15 pairs of them right now. I have 6 boys & they all have different pairs too. We love wearing them because me & my 6 boys hate wearing shoes & socks because they crush our toes & hurt our feet 🦶 i have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across & my boys have very wide feet 🦶 with very big toes. Me & my 6 boys love being barefooted 👣 besides wearing flip-flops 🩴 & 5 fingers give us the Closest barefooted 👣 to wearing footwear out there. It's so funny to see them on my feet 🦶 because my toes are so fat & chubby that you can see my toes Bulging out of the toes Pockets & where my toes sit at in the pocket. My toes barley & i mean barely fit in the toes Pockets because of how fat they are. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video.
Cheers buddy. I just need the orange one's now. 6 boys 😮, they must be going through the fivefingers fairly quickly, it's a shame that barefoot/minimalist shoes are overpriced for kids, good on you for putting them on the right track ✅️.
@Ultra_Marathoner_Denis_Keane Thay really don't go through them really quickly because they love being barefooted 👣 more than anything so they last a lot longer. Plus two with them all having very wide feet 🦶 they don't want to wear them out they said.
I have the exact same. I love how they feel on foot and they are fun to run in, but given their minimalist design, they are unjustafiably heavy... in my size (US 10.5) they weigh in at 223g which is 10g more than my Hoka Mach 4 and my Asics Noosa 14... (which are far bigger shoes)
Altras are never a waste of money though as they are a great walking/casual shoe. I'm hoping that these will be 1 of my main training shoes, I will use them alongside the vibram fivefingers for days I need a bit of cushioning.
V-Run vs KMD Evo for long distance running? Thoughts? Ive been running for 1 year in V-run but keep getting top of the foot pain when I run 5 miles or more
The furthest I've run in Vibram fivefingers was 52.4miles in the V-runs. They are important as a training shoe but I don't race in them. I don't have the Kmd evo's, I'm looking into getting them for trail running though as they have a 8mm sole. If you are getting pain in the top of your feet then I suggest you look into "Floss bands" and use them. Also start doing "tib raises" and rotation of the foot you can start adding weight with a device like the "ironshin". Hope this helps. Denis
@@Irish_Marathoner wow that’s insane I hope one day I am able to run that much in my five fingers! Thanks for the advice I am definitely going to try the floss bands and tib raises. I just got the KSO evos so I’ll let you know how that goes. They are super comfortable
