About to build this exact design ,the only thing I'm going to change is to have a lance so I'm further away from the work piece when using the blaster .
Great project. Terrific execution! Two questions though. How high is the tank pressure and second, what are the minimum compressor specs for hobby use? Thanks
Very durable cars except for rusting of all the components under the car in salty conditions. You can do a lot of miles in these cars if you can endure the mediocre driveability.
Unbelievable indeed. Becens is a professional abrasive sandblasting material supplier from China. The following are our main products: white aluminum oxide brown alumina glass bead garnet steel grit steel shot Walnut shells soda I hope you can give us a chance to cooperate.
Hi there, Some FAQ I have and find in the comment section: Is the tank all you really need to sand blast, like do you fill it with both sand and air or do you still need a separate compressor connected with the tank, is the black cable with the wrapped tape connected with the compressor? If so what kind of compressor? A simple tire compressor to fill up the tank while you’re blasting? If so do you fill the tank after the pressure dropped to a certain point or is it constantly on? Or a big compressor with capacity tank? If so how many liters should the tank of compressor be and how many liters/minute should it blast minimum? Kind regards, Manu
I always use an additional compensator connected to the tank, 200 liters, no more than 10 bar for this barrel, because more can be dangerous, you need a pizza tank.
@carchiklife Could you make a video or a short where you try it without compressor, so just filling the tank to see if it would work without and if so, how long you can blast until it runs out of air pressure and how long it would take to fill it back up with a portable 150 Watt compressor… to know if it is worth for some people including myself to invest in a compressor with tank as well. And if a compressor is really needed, what kind of compressor would be sufficient? I found a 24L compressor with tank €120 with max 10 bar with 260L/min be good enough? What about a 50 L compressor €300 with 412L/min? Because in my specific case I would want to sandblast balconies and other structures that aren’t dismountable so I would have to carry it with me on staircases to different locations…

I want to make this too. But I don't know the names and sizes of the pneumatic fittings here. May I know them please? Or can you get the link from a store like ebay ali express? I can't get items from amazon. It does not supply goods to my country. Please help me.
I would add a large moisture trap after the air compressor to prevent moisture from getting in the sand. A concrete vibrator attached to the side of that tank to prevent sand clogging would be a last perfect touch.
