Great message. Is it feasible to say that God never actually told Eve not to eat from the tree of life? In Gen. 2:16-17 God warned Adam not to eat from the tree of life. He told Adam this before he created Eve. There is no verse after God created Eve where God or Adam told Eve not to eat of or touch the tree of life. However, Adam may have told Eve not to eat nor touch the fruit from the tree of life. So, when the serpent asked Eve, Did God really say you should not eat of the fruit from the tree of life? Eve's response was that God said not to eat or touch the fruit from the tree of life or we will surley die. The devil responded with "That's a lie". Now, who was the Devil calling a lie? was it God, Eve or Adam? Because God only told Adam not to eat of the tree of life, it doesn't say God said "not to touch the fruit". Eve added that to the word of God and thus the Devil was given an opening to decieve her. He went as far to say "You will not Die". He confused Eve and was convinced that she would be like God to distinguish between good and evil. The devil preyed on her naivity and enticed her with wisdom. My question is "where was Adam during this conversation"? Gen 3:6 said she gave some to her husband. Did Adam realize what Eve was giving him to eat? Was he seduced?
