The Society of St. Pius X is an international priestly society of common life without vows, whose purpose is to train, support, and encourage holy priests so that they may effectively spread the Catholic faith throughout the world.
The SSPX was founded in 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in the diocese of Fribourg, Switzerland, adhering to all canonical norms, receiving the blessing and encouragement of the local bishop.
The spirit of the SSPX is essentially apostolic; it was designed by its founder to operate much like a missionary order, spreading the faith far and wide. This apostolate is today especially necessary considering the spread of atheism, agnosticism, and religious indifference.
The SSPX, to this end, seeks to draw souls closer to Christ primarily through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, as well as through its preaching, its schools, its seminaries, and its other houses of religious formation.
The SSPX is a blessing for this difficult time in the Church. I have begun attending SSPX Masses regularly now. The more they try to discredit the Traditional Latin Mass the sweeter it is.
I have said it before and I'll say it again; Thank You Dearest Jesus for giving us This Holy Man. To follow in your Footsteps as You have Claimed we must; to be saved! Buckle up for what Im about to say. The worst thing isn’t that Jesus isn’t at the Novus Ordo mass. The worst thing is that he IS at the new mass. He **absolutely is** . (I asked multiple times to be shown if he’s there or not; and receiving multiple confirmation times) HE’S THERE. If it’s painful for you to be there, just imagine how much more painful it is for him. And he loves us THAT much that not only did he sacrifice himself for us during his life; he CONTINUES to sacrifice himself for us EVERY DAY 🥺 (His love and mercy truly are unfathomable) So if Christ is not abandoning his Church-Im not going to abandon my Mother Church when she needs me the most. If there are no TLM’s or SSPX near you; PLEASE find a Novus Ordo parish that at least isn’t promoting evil (child sacrifice and LTGBQ) and attend mass every Sunday. Don’t look around at the other laity in judgement. Bring your piety of spirit and prayers and suffering, sanctify it and beg God to receive that sacrifice for restoration of the Church Militant. I used to fight against it (still do sometimes); but was guided to instead to uplift my gaze to our Lord hanging on the cross and STAND WITH HIM THERE at the crucifixion in real time in the deep pain he feels at every irreverence and inversion of the new mass. See the love he has even still “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do!” Am I going to run away? I wanted to at first. But I now understand that’s the same thing as running away from Him on the Cross.

A wonderful presentation of incalculable value. Fr McGilvery's knowledge is impressive and his willingness to communicate the love he has for Holy Mother Church and Her liturgical life, deeply consoling. In this particular instance, I may be missing something, however, there is one thing that charity obliges me to point out (there's always something, right?) in addressing a burgeoning trend within Traditionalst spheres. It's a simple matter because it's essential, but paradoxically, inordinately and unnecessarily difficult to approach without sounding, well, how might one say this; Unkind? Weak? Passive aggressive? Soy? Hyper critical? Emotional and dramatic? So be it, for such is the nature of the beast. Indeed, so awkward a matter is it to approach, that in the 'freedom' often afforded ignorance and error, I fear the monster has assumed the nightmarish proportions of an "elephantine parasite in the room", which continues to grow, not just unabated, but handsomely nourished. Cut to the chase? Get to the point? Stop beating around the bush? I think not. I know this terrain and the wildlife well. Being crushed underfoot by the majestic Loxodonta africana cyclotis is one thing. Asphyxiation by way of a gargantuan Rhipicephalus microplus, quite another. Here's the thing, and I realise this may be somewhat anti climactic for the majority of my neo-stoical brethren, but this 'vice masquerading as virtue' thing, is going from embarrassing, to awkward. The ankle biters have a term; "cringeworthy". And although it may be that for now, I fear we are but one click away from "alienating". Father, with all due respect, that's not a darned cold, young fella. That's either a chest infection, or severe inflammation caused by a viral infection. If I was your superior, your determination to present yourself in such a state, would behoove reproach by way of the following questions and statements; "what in the name of Our Father in heaven are you doing? You're ill man! Why aren't you resting in order to recover... among other things?" Really? Is this what our shepherds and faux parish cultures have come to? What would your mother say, and before you think it, Our Blessed Mother, at that? Please, for the love of your flock through Christ, rest and recover. In private. For the record: I attend the Tridentine Rite mass as offered by the FSSPX. Firstly, for all the reasons so vigilantly and (of late), sensitively argued by your fraternity. And, furthermore, for subjective (personal spiritual) reasons, too. Indeed it is by the grace of God alone, through the integrity of your defence of the sacraments, that I managed to find my way home. To conclude; as a husband and father, please don't make the burden of reconciling the tenets of the faith with authentic, reasonable behaviour, for my family, more difficult than it already is. I suggest we leave the proportions of the crosses we are permitted and committed to bear, to His divine discretion.

Other religions don’t accept our Catholic faith as the way towards God. Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. believe differently so why would we expect them to acknowledge our Christian beliefs. We as Catholics are intrigued by Pope Francis’ statements claiming that all religions lead towards God. I fervently hope and pray that our Church leaders would actively enlighten us on this critical issue.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
If there is need for another topic once this is done, what about a commentary of the Bible going book by book to assist in clarification of what is going on and what we are to learn from each. I understand the Mass readings have this in a way, but a full end to end commentary would be another beneficial podcast/video playlist. Thank you.
Sorry, Dear Brothers and Sisters, you are maybe not aware of your confusion about the Catholic Church; I mean the only Church the historical Jesus ever founded! You declare namely that part of the Body of Christ which after the organisational schism from Her other parts in the fourth Century remained under the pragmatic and compromising Shepherds till today! The other parts (the Orthodox and a few others,) are, however, equally guilty of betraying Jesus by promoting the Sin of Cain in 'self-defence'! Since Jesus will never condone it, so If you do not repent of this, it will not matter on Judgment Day what Ordo you celebrate, or what other"heresies" you reject! Veritatis Missio
