venturing into the world of mycology along with various types of gardening plus tasty recipes & treats! most of my material that I share is self-taught so I only hope to spread the knowledge and wealth of information :)
This kid is 46 & check out Shinedown and Smith and Myers he has a very strong voice, sings with no microphone. Did lots of covers but LS Simple Man that shows his vocals off.
Need a new camera person. Don't care to look at Brent and Zachs feet. Need a new sound person, you could barely hear Brent. Otherwise good job. Brent & Zach rock!!🤘
I want to see the official program this was just a video taken by Shinedown crew. Hope the show gets on RU-vid or a official video. Still loved it though!!
They were asked to cover the song. Shinedown is the 1 mainstream rock band of Billboards 40 years!! They have 25 1 songs & all singles have been top 10 or higher. Have 7 albums all are certified gold or platinum including 1st album.
They were asked to do it & that is an honor & they love Atlantic Records that is their label for 24 years. Brent is a amazing vocalist on other songs and covers. He could have blown this out of the water back in his 20s.
Meh, The guitarist is awesome…I hated the twang in the vocals… he may be awesome in his genre, but this was pretty poor.. was hard to watch to the end.
@@cn7913 I don't hear it believe me I hate county music. People hear different things. It was just a tribute and they were asked to do the cover. Also this isn't the official audio it was just filmed by Shinedown crew.
@cn7913 Smith & Myers does covers that is these & Brent makes them his own. Check them out so he could have made the song his but he didn't want to do that it was more about the tribute then trying to make it original. SD cover Simple Man is him making the song his if you never heard that.
it goes to show you how great of a vocalist Robert Plant was in his day ..yes Brent did a great job ..Struggled a little at the end ..not an easy ending to sing
He was an amazing vocalist & still is, but Brent is 46 can you imagine what he would have been able to do with this song in his 20s also Brent did admit he did some damage to his voice.
This voice is the best right now he sings hard rock but can sing anything and has powerful soulful vocals close to Chris Cornell style. He is considered a high baritone. He does clean & raspy vocals with Shinedown.
I actually as well as many prefer their version of simple man, which is what you're referring to. The members of Led Zeppelin also gave them.their blessing with their version. You're free to your opinion regardless.
Brent actually lived at Ronnie's guest house he did the cover as a thank you to Ronnie's family for helping him. He sang it at a Boston radio station acoustic it was downloaded 500.000 times in 6 weeks. They put it on the album your definitely in the minority. Ronnie's widow gets rulities every time Shinedown's version is played.
Yes RU-vid, I needed this masterpiece today! Holy crap - did not know my hero had sung it. I need every word this man has ever sung in my ears. He is just everything in music.
So great cover, great vocal. BUT there are some songs in that catalog that should never be touched and that is one! I have much respect for Shinedown and Brent but again as a Zeppelin fan, a obsessed Zeppelin fan a Zeppelin before any other band fan there is a sacredness to this song. Even though this is not at the top of my list as a Zeppelin song. It is sacred song and should not be touched. I sure if you ask anyone who is as big of fan as myself they will agree.
The Grammy Museum asked them to do it for the tribute to Atlantic Records & Led Zeppelin. If they said no another band would have done it & probably would have been bad.
