Claw is our first bird pet. We got him from the farmer nearby on Jan 19th. He was 4 months old, never left his parents. When he arrived our place, he was so upset and scared, hardly ate anything. We were so worried and contacted the farmer . She was so nice and offered to help babysit him for days. We took Claw back to be with his parents for one week . There he recovered, eating and playing happily. Then we went to pick him up. This time we were more prepared. We played the bird music all the way driving home, to calm him down. Our farmer friend gave us some food for free. Now we have been happily living together with Claw for two months. I was told that the India Ringneck can live up to 30 years! That is amazing! We can’t treat him just as a bird, actually he is part of our family. Can’t imagine 30 years later when I am old and Claw is still with us ! That makes me to decide setup this channel for Claw, for us to record every moment of being with Claw , and share with all of you .
@@birdclawslife4027 Thankyou. My 5 and a half months old named Blu, same color as your's just started saying "I love you." He is super clingy to me and dislikes everyone else in the house. Pretty cool if you ask me. Lol.
@@birdclawslife4027 that's so awesome! I wish Blu likes others too cause my 12 yrs old daughter really wants to handle him but he just launches at her with an angry attitude.
You will be there . Blu will bring more fun and comfort and sweet company for you like Claw doing to us .The more time you spend with them they more closer to you .
My Blu is the same color as Claw when he was a baby. He is 15 weeks old as of now. Right now, he doesn't like to be touched, but is very socializing with me. Loves to step up and goes nuts when he sees me while being inside the cage. Lol. I remember seeing Claw bluffing when he was a baby. How old was Claw when he stopped biting and nipping? Hopefully Blu stops too when he's closer to a year. And at what age did Claw you let rub him? He's such a cutie!
Blu is a cute name ! Claw is almost 5 years old . He still does biting and nipping if we try to touch him. Only recently we are able to rub him and he seems enjoy it a lot and asks for it everyday . I find it the key point is hand feeding more and put your hand near him for a while to let him be aware of your hand before touching or rubbing him .
@@birdclawslife4027 Thankyou for replying and thankyou for your advice. I'll definitely try that. I know he's a little raptor that loves to destroy everything he can get a hold of and bite. Lol. But I'll slowly work on that so hopefully, the nipping/biting stops as he age. And let's me rub his neck and head. Claw matured beautifully! You raised him well.
@nusdogg thank you . They do love biting stuff and they easily get bored . I can’t remember how many phone charging cables been destroyed by Mr. Claw .
In birds, sleep consists of "periods of eye closure interrupted by short periods of eye-opening." During the short periods of eye-opening, electroencephalographic (EEG) studies indicate that the birds are still sleeping; the voltage level in the brain is identical.
