The Global Society of Tigray Scholars and Professionals (GSTS) is a 501(c) (3) and 33/2011 legally registered non-partisan, autonomous and non-profit global knowledge network of over 5,000 Tigray academics and professionals who aspire to help Tigray, its people and the Horn of Africa at various capacities and level of engagements. GSTS seeks to develop a knowledge - based society and economy in Tigray and beyond. To this end, GSTS focuses on: - building and advancing knowledge-based development; - multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral research and applied policy development; - human capital development; - fostering and advancing science, technology, and innovation; - skill/technology/knowledge transfer; - community engagement; - migration and displacement; - diplomacy and human rights advocacy; - fostering peace, justice, good governance, institution building; - humanitarian works and other educational and development-related endeavours.
