Matthew J. McPheeters, MD, MBA is a neurosurgery resident at the University at Buffalo. Dr. McPheeters grew up in Minneapolis, MN, and completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his Medical Doctorate and Master of Business Administration at the University of Minnesota, where he served as the president of the medical student council and worked as a health and medicine content creator at Khan Academy. Dr. McPheeters also serves as an officer in the US Army Reserves.
Dr. McPheeters clinical and research interests include open and endovascular neurosurgery as well as neurotrauma and neurocritical care medicine. In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. McPheeters focuses on improving medical education through digital media and promoting quality scholarly publication.
