@AckGirl although its not the typical scent I prefer, each time I try it out I like it a little more. I was a KickStarter supporter too. I almost decluttered it but something about its uniqueness keeps it in my collection.
Such a great description! I have the milestone mystique & people have different opinions as to whether or not its duping bibliotheque.. it certainly smells like your description. 💜 (Although i think its great for summery weather.. the fruit note pops). 😊
I just bought this and I absolutely love it! It was a major surprise to me because the smell of it reminds me of this fantastic little hippie store that I've shopped at for 20+ years. Smells like musk, herbs, and incense. It's very warm and inviting.
I just bought this perfume, and I noticed that there’s quite a bit missing. It looks like your bottle is the same way. When you first opened it was it at a much lower level than other perfumes?
I love your videos, they are so relaxing! I think we have similar perfume tastes and I also am aiming to build a small "capsule" perfume collection of only the scents that I truly love. I actually have a mostly full bottle of Artemisia from Penhaligon's that I'm looking to trade (lovely but don't reach for it much) and would totally swap for your bottle of Vanilla Woods if you still have that one!
Thank you so much 💕 I actually already finished up my vanilla woods! 🎉 But I appreciate the offer 😊 Right now, I am down to 10, and the goal is to get to my 6 true favorites. 🤗
I had the same reaction, you should spray it a few times and then leave it in a drawer without the cap for like 2 months and then it will smell better (that happened to me!) and have happened with most perfumes. I let them macerate
You're doing so well! Thanks for sharing an update. So much of this resonates with me. I've managed to slow down on the buying this year because I am finding that I just want to wear my few loves ❤️ I am wanting to get my collection down from 35ish to 10 - 15 but some of them are so hard to let go of because I want to be able to smell them even if I don't wear them much or I think I should keep them because they were expensive. I definitely feel like I'm coming full circle on this hobby/obsession and want my family and friends to be able to associate me with a few favorite scents rather than random perfumes all the time. Apologies for the novel, but it's very encouraging to come across others experiencing a similar journey. Love your little marble tray of precious favorites xx
Thank you bizzynotes 💕 I completely agree with you about family and friends associating you with a few special signature scents, I strive for that too! I could really live with just 5 of my true favorites. We will get there! 😊
every time I get asked what I am wearing, it always ends up being something like Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato 33, or like Replica Whispers in the Library, or DUA Banana and Vanilla Custard Flan... and their faces would be like 😶 ....🤭🤣 so i am always ready to show a photo of it 😁
this was a very timely video... I know what you mean by losing the excitement and thinking of all the money that i could have spent in other things.. it´s now a joke between my son and I... whenever I think of wanting to get something like some running shoes or what now, we immediately stare at each other and point at my perfume cabinet 🤣
I agree! I got a small size of this from Sephora because of all the hype. I really thought i will like it but i just don't understand the love that ppl have for it. It's nothing impressive, it smells like a very cheap vanilla scent-in my opinion. It doesn't do absolutely nothing for me. The one fragrance that i absolutely love that smells like the perfect vanilla to me, is Grand Soir by MFK . Cozy and soft and just delicious 🥰
You did so well! And you halved your collection while not purchasing! That would have taken a lot of willpower. The year I attempted a no buy was the year Covid hit, and it all went out the window. I have hovered around 40 perfumes for years now but I really would like to reduce this number by half, empty some bottles, and be more moderate with my spending this year. You have inspired me 😊🙏
You should try the Ellis Brooklyn WEST that is grapefruit and is well done. I personally love it and last a pretty good while. I say about 4 hours on me before reapplying.
I've tried most of their fragrances and I'll tell you it's one of their best if not their best fragrance. Of course perfume is all down to one's own personal taste. Also longevity lasted well into the next day.
I still have not received my bottle and I cannot track it. Update: they got in touch with me and I received the perfume. I don’t think the popcorn note agrees with me. This was a blind buy since I live in the US and could not buy a sample.
Admittedly it is not my type, as I expected might be the case!😊 But…I do like it for date night as I mentioned and I appreciate it because it is unlike anything else I own. I love the actual perfume bottle too! The smooth dry down makes it a keeper for me :) Thank you for watching 💞
Thanks so much for your video! Love the matching purple bag 💜💫 So many people have said their partner commented on the smell - it’s a good date night scent ! 💜
@@AckGirl I have only tried it once, so I don't have my final opinion yet, but so far I do like it. Soki likes different perfumes than I do, but for a floral I think I will enjoy it from time to time.
I completely agree! I remember getting a mini sample a while back. The sample was the best vanilla I ever smelled! I recently purchased a small bottle and the fragrance was a floral musky vanilla but too musky- clear your throat musky. It was much different than I remembered. Maybe layering it with something sweeter might bring out the sweet vanilla I remember. I don't know. I appreciate your review!
