What is forgotten, sadly, is that The Mahoney Brothers were the really first serious group doing Beatles Tribute. I saw them twice; first in 1980 at a MALL in Clearwater, Florida (Clearwater Mall, now gone). Then, in 1994 at Lesourdesville Lake amusement park in Ohio. Fantastic show...after The Fab Four, then The Bootleg Beatles, The Mahoney's still bring the fire...and they are LONG in the tooth. I'm seeing Mahoney's in August at Knoebel's Amusement Park, tucked away in Coal country in PA. See them if you have the chance!!
"So you want to sing like a Beatle, do ya?" He SHOULD be addressing this to HIMSELF. This guy sounds NOTHING like John, looks NOTHING like John. The group as a whole looks like some corpses have been stuffed into Beatles suits and in some demonic way re-animated. That was painful.
THIS MAKES ME SAD...My dad used to listen to these guys and now he's a grandpa with a big family and almost retired while these guys are still dressing like the early 2000's and having to perform in small crappy venues to put bread on the table.... damn!
Maybe we can look at this from a different perspective, you see there is a thing called “passion” and when you have a passion you “DGAF” how the rest of the world perceives you to be, as long as your happy doing what you do best-I know it sounds totally crazy but you will probably get to a point of your life where your going to wonder what you actually love doing And your good at, rather than just going though the motions and faking that you love what you do but you don’t-the question then becomes, what is your definition of success?? Because your definition of success may not be inline with others definition of success?? Does that make sense?🤷♂️ chances are, these guys all probably a lot more happier than the people who are out there judging them for what they do to pay their bills🤷♂️ signed…ex rock star…
I was on a noisy 'Laibach' trip tonight and youtube sent me here. I'm happy I'm here, it makes me happy there is still good music being made and played! I also encourage you all to check out Laibach from long ago, from behind the Iron Curtain, before it fell.... Laibach still play to this day!
This is the way The Beatles should have played "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on The Ed Sullivan Show! This band plays it with enthusiasm and determination! The Beatles didn't put any balls into their live performances! From Me To You sounds great with the Harmonica included! John wouldn't even bother to play Harmonica in concert. This band blows The Beatles away!
@@louisgutenberg7345You know in your heart that this band make The Beatles sound like amateurs as a live band! I believe The Beatles were spoiled by their success and went through the motions and didn't bother to deliver the goods on stage.
I remember well how Wayne used to perform an ass to grass squat down to one side or the other like Prince. I don't think this guy can pull off that maneuver. 😁
Was a pretty good pit at times, if everyone wasn't stuffed in there like sardines it would have been much better. Got some good pit action on Chelsea Grin. The wall of Death
@@louisgutenberg7345 a sold out show is nothing to complain about! Lots of crazy MFers in there and you missed the footage 😉 Chelsea grin fans are a-lot younger as well and that band is gay af haha
What is your problem with timing ?!? Why did you even try ?! Dude, it's AWFUL - you did it because you felt you have to, but you clearly don't care ...
It makes me sad that Tom absolutely sucks live. He doesn’t remotely sing the songs right and those like pauses in his singing that shouldn’t even be there. His style live is so terrible it takes away so much. Sad Panda.
@@depressivesuicidalblackmetal. yea man. Sucks. He’s a good dude. They have awesome music. But man he doesn’t sound right or good live. If tix aren’t crazy expensive it might still be worth it. But just go into it prepared.
You guys do realize the band had a backup screamer before, which was pablo? Ofc, it will sound different when Tom solos the vocals. I wouldn't say Tom sucks.
How in the fuck are they “struggling”? This dude and his band are still packing venues out nightly and paying the bills doing what they love. Seems like success to me.
not the same sound without the vox ac30 amps sorry mmmmmmmm very mucky sound too much bass why not showing the amps eh! mmmmm need a bit more practice there mates but a good try anyway
Song Setlist: Recreant. Sunset of the Wretched The Isnis Bleed Sun. playing with Fire. Dead Rose. My Damnation. Crewcabanger. Sing to the Grave. Hostage
This is a new band to me, I'm into it! I swear I hear someone playing a didgeridoo up there. Is it a sound clip of a didgeridoo?! What is that sound?!! I can't wait to see these guys live on Tuesday! *Please let there be a didgeridoo!!!
Sorry for the little wobbly recording. Wanted to drink my beer and my hand was getting tired of holding it in the same spot lol. Glad everyone enjoys the great music
They were great in their time. I loved seeing them in those days. They never seemed to have recovered from the death of Gary Grimes and unfortunately they just look old. I think that the Fab Four is the best out there right now. As of late they too are hiring younger guys to keep the show going. I am going to see them next week.
I'd disagree, there are Tribute / Cover Bands for all types of Genres. Just because other bands maybe gone. It keeps the music alive for others to enjoy.
And how many times have YOU sold out Carnegie Hall? This their fortieth year doing this and they still sell out 100+ shows a year. You're right about one thing though - you don't get it {and probably a lot else, lol}.
music is nourisment this like saying stop eating food like people already grew before. too much weight on "originality" and he probably listens to Nickel back so yeah
And Hollywood actors are not the people they are playing. What is your point? These guys are very good at acting the Beatles and their sound. This is fun entertainment for many.
@@news603redux I know. He built the White Picguard Rickenbacker too. Mark is a great guy and master guitar creator. I believe he rebuilt the 12 String Rickenbacker as well when he first received it.
