Anyone read about the potential for chemicals/materials in the solar installations leaching into the soil. Presents a long term risk to soil health potentially. I don't get why they don't offer to put them on people's roofs.
We run a Amazone ZA-TS 4200 with hydraulic drive and isobus. Great spreader. Very accurate, as it calibrates it self going down the field with the weigh cells. All the settings for the different types of fert is saved in the screen. Very easy to set up, using the My Spreader app for getting the settings and doing the spread pattern test, using the rubber pads, which you just take pictures of and it tells you the new settings based on that.
Just watch the fumes on those heaters. Used one all the time when Fixing hot tubs in the winter here in Canada. Got dizzy a few times from being in an area that was too enclosed with one running.
Simple math. Buy the right tools. The cost of the tools is often what the bill would be to have someone else do the job. Buy the tools, do the job, and next time job needs done, it is just the cost of time.
Absolute madness, there hundreds of acres of warehouses being built, every one of those should be covered in solar panels, we are actually losing our farming land twice, the way things are going, once to warehouses and once to solar panels.
Krm is the worst spreader we have ever tried, never had the same setting for the same fert each day.. ya just couldn’t rely on it.. but it had a great spread pattern… Kuhn is the way forward.. cannot recommend them enough.. spot on every time.. which gives ya peace of mind when ya know ya going to use it 👍🏻👍🏻
hello great heaters, use Kerosene Heating Oil not red diesel i have two of them, if flame goes out the diesel will smoke i know from experience great video, hopefully one day will be able to stop at the shop on my way back home to muir of ord if i am down south. The nights are fair drawing in cheers
We are on our second Amazone zats ultra 4200 with Argos twin and wind control. Great spreaders. Argos twin works magic on the hills. Maintains drop point and spread pattern regardless of slope. Wind control is also pretty useful in windy NZ.
If I can be honest... Farmers have had access to land where the vast majority who actually want to grow food cannot. I've been trying to find 1 acre of farm land to start a community aquaponics farm, and it's impossible. If you want help help others who in turn will have your back.
It’s all about how the electrics attach to your tractor. You can have massive dramas is the fert gets into connections or housings,Solinoids have spazz attacks flat out 🙄
Everyone in our area has slowly moved from whatever they had previously to Kuhn spreaders, i think off the top of my head theres 7 or 8, most are PTO driven but a hydraulic does section control better and youd want a 40.2 H-EMC-W
Amazon the section is amazing. Screeens probably not the simplest. But you've only got a few people driving it. Once you know how to run it its the best.
Use a KRM at basic spec and on its own screen not a huge fan of it except its simple to use and easy to wash. But doesnt have anything like section control etc. Isobus might be better but their own screen is a nighmare and doesnt make things easy.
Crawford, you pointed out the laminar flow of the oil as it poured out. Did you know that you can get ceiling-mounted bathtub fillers that also have laminar flow ? They’re probably wildly expensive but from the videos I’ve seen, they’re really impressive. More or less silent . . . and no splashing, either !
I run a Khun Axis 40.2 M-EMC-W at work. Had it 3 seasons and brilliant bit of kit. Once you have done the headland, you just switch it on and it does everything itself, ie off and on as it sees ground already covered or not
