The front seats are nice and fit snug. The rear bottoms are poor in my opinion. That g string to tie them together is useless. Each time you open and close your bottom you’ll need to fix the cover. For $250 these covers are good enough. Not great by any means.
Doesn't fit the power seats properly. The bottoms are cut different. But, I've had mine for about 7 months now on my 23, and they are very nice and have worn nicely. I saw a comment about texture or slipperiness, they aren't slippery.
Take the seats out. I’ve watched multiple videos. Everyone leaves the seats in. Take em out. 4 bolts per seat. It’ll save you a ton of time and allow you to route the straps in the seat frame and secure them properly. It’s a must if you have a 3rd gen Tacoma with power seats. Slide the top cover over the front seats, Unbolt the seat, tilt it back, disconnect the wiring harness under the seat, remove seat from vehicle, put the seat on the tailgate upside down. Locate the screws on the front and rear of the plastic cover surrounding the seat and remove. Remove the screws holding the power seat control box, put the bottom seat cover on and tuck the straps behind the control box, here you can use a small self tapping sheet metal screw and washer to secure the large flap to the seat frame. This will prevent it from coming untucked. You don’t have to do this step. You can also pop the plastic clip on the right side of the drivers seat and poke a screwdriver through the cover and secure the cover with the factory plastic clip. You don’t have to do that step either. I just see those being problem areas possibly coming untucked and tried to take preventative measures. Now you can reinstall the power seat control box and screws, reinstall the 2 screws for the outer plastic cover. Route the straps through the seat frame being careful to not contact any wires, motors or tracks the seat rides on. Secure straps and tuck excess into the frame, put the seat in the truck, tilt it back and reconnect the wiring harness or harnesses, reinstall the seat and enjoy the peace of mind knowing you did it right the first time. Rear seats you’ll need to take 550 paracord and tie around the front seat hinges. Now tie more paracord to the ends of the chord on the covers and secure it to the 550 chord you tied around the hinges. This will allow you to secure them tighter. I see the rear covers probably giving me issues later on. I hope not. Time will tell. So far I’m happy. I’ll certainly let you know when I’m not. Thanks. Shane. Just a heads up: I installed mine a few days ago and love them, but be careful where you hook the straps underneath the seats. Don't snag any wires and whatnot. Especially the passenger seat. Mine was on too tight. Nothing would be in the seat and the light would come on saying passenger-side airbag off. Not a big deal but it would just come on regardless of there being anything in the seat. I loosened the straps and checked where the hooks were underneath, and kept testing and got it back to where it should be. Something in the seat, light turns on saying airbags off. Person in the seat, light turns on saying airbags on. Nothing in the seat, light turns off completely. Hoping it stays that way, but I think that did the trick.
Only had mine on a couple days and I feel like I'm sitting pretty good without sliding around at all. It's a really nice texture, actually. And the foam padding layer underneath makes them feel extra soft. Diggin' them.
I put mine in 4 days ago and there’s no skidding or slipping. It’s a firm grip and covers are strapped in and don’t move at all .. this 100% worth the money custom fit for my 2023 Tacoma
@@wanderingscott It wasn’t easy but there are little plastic clips (IIRC they’re white) that just pop out by gently pulling straight down or using a plastic trim removal tool. It will release the elastic straps and then you can pop them back in. Just be careful of the wiring.
I didn't. I did notice that backseat strap is pretty snug coming through the cover though. I may need to revisit that part (put them in a few days ago)
