Yes you could but make sure you line diameter is small enough to run through the hook eye twice. Or make sure your hook eye is big enough.

How’s your casting of midsized 1/4th-3/4oz oz baits on your Salamandura 70? I messed with the dials and I can get it down to 3 on the magforce, but still not getting great distance. Is it my rod and casting ability or is the SV overbraking?

Nice review! I own 2 of the 2017 Exsence's C3000MHG and absolutely love them for my power spinning fishing. They're exactly 7.0 oz, they balance with all my bass rods, smooth as silk, strong/smooth drag and blacked out look. I actually prefer them over my Stella's. For finesse, I use one of my several Vanquish's. My 2020 Vanfords got a Geary feeling after 1 year.

Great review! Agree your assessment at 17:19, here in Australia all shimanos in smaller sizes are deep spools as well, not necessary imo. I am waiting until the day Shimano Australia bring out shallow spool models, but not holding my breath..
@TTangOutdoors
@TTangOutdoors 16 дней назад
I guess the concept of using shallow spool has been relatively recent so whenever there's a change in a well established industry, it take time for people to get comfortable... shimano and daiwa are playing it safe but I think it's coming. I will probably make some videos talking about deep and shallow spool hopefully to get people thinking more.... thanks for the comment!

Hey, I'm thinking of getting either the Tatula ct or Tatula 100. I'm mainly gonna use it for bass and pike fishing. From where I'm getting the reel from, the 100 is only about 30$(CAD) more than the ct. Do you think for 30 bucks it's worth the upgrade? I'd appreciate feedback👍
@no_rules_today6131
@no_rules_today6131 23 дня назад
Or would something like a Tatula 150 do better?
@TTangOutdoors
@TTangOutdoors 23 дня назад
This new 100 has a better frame better gear. I get sore hand fishing the CT frame and I don't with this new 100. I guess that depends on how big your hands are. The CT will do fine for bass and pike. 150 is a even bigger frame than the CT and I think it's mainly used for throwing heavier bait like swim baits for pike. I have since put the CT back in the reel box since the new 100 does everything better.

@@TTangOutdoors Mono sinks, braid floats.. i use braid mainline mostly.. if u wat to set the hook and ur line has sunk it can be challenging. also using braid leader is not nice.. so use fluoro.. or mono.. or steel leaders for pike.. (i use .80mm fluoro for pike/zander in europe)... but u can use smaller diameter if ur not catching a lot of pike. I thought the reels were ok but I couldn't get any type of casting distance at all. And I've been using baitcasteing reels for over 30 yrs. I think lews makes the best in the business. Shimano s are nice but they are to overpriced and they don't last very long after a while you have to keep oiling them . On the diawa the thumbar kept sticking and I had to keep constantly putting oil in it. The lews reels cast further never any maintenance problems super smooth retrieves. I think these Japanese Korean Chinese companies are just garbage. I use American rod's and reel's now bad experiences with the foreign stuff.
