There might be the occasional gun related video too…
If that is the only rust after nearly 30 years its a testament to the quality of the yj,s, i have a couple and its the same on mine. Tj,s rust far more as the double skin thinner metal wings and floor rot due to condensation from inside. Last of the TRUE leaf sprung parkway factory built TOLEDO jeeps. Glad to be an owner of such an amazing vehicle.
YJ is the BEST. tj looks UGLY.every part in tj is UGLY.front grill, front seats, dash, steering wheel.even flares are ugly. Contrary.yj,every part in yj is beautiful.front grill, front seats, dash, steering wheel and flares. YJ is my dream car.😍🥰
Wow--really great looking YJ!! So clean as opposed to most others. That is a gold mine. Don't see many in that shape. David--2003 Jeep TJ Rubicon owner for 21 years now--48K miles!
@@hanshoeg Wow--a YJ and TJ owner! My TJ is Bright Silver Metallic. Ordered her in fall 2002 while deployed overseas fly combat missions over Afghanistan. She was delivered in May 2003 upon my return to the states. First year of the Rubicon model and she just turned 21!! Need to take her out for a few drinks--LOL!
@@marcthomas2482 that’s great. 👍🏻 I test drove a 94 green Sahara hard top manual with a snow plow before I got my black YJ. I loved it but too much rust.
@@leelahd4428 It drives better, but it is rougher on bumps (leaf vs coil spring suspension). I treat the YJ more like a classic car and it lives with no top all summer. Shorter trips in good weather I take the YJ. But the TJ has a soft top that I put up and down, cruise control and is setup as my “work truck.” It also has a better trailer hitch & wiring kit if I need to pull a small trailer.
I bought a brand new one in 93, didn't have the vent windows as mine was a factory soft top, and had the half doors stock, I also didn't have AC, so just heat when needed. I wasn't a fan of having to put the gas in behind the plate either, you had to have some short bolts on the plate or it would ruin the paint back there. I did love that Jeep though, I bought it for 15K, sold it three years later and got 12K for it.
@@hanshoeg I cant remember if the 4 liter came stock or if there was a 4 cyl option, mine came with the 4.0 and was also a manual, I certainly wanted the manual and 4.0 though. Whenever I see anyone driving one, I always make sure to say hello and that I like their Jeep. Currently on my 2nd Gladiator....
@@cuh720 it’s just fine for what I use it for… But it’s only a 3 speed compared to my 01 TJ with the 4.0 which has a 4 speed automatic (which is much better).
As a YJ owner since new in 1993....I just gotta know....which do you like better...the YJ or the TJ? Personally, I just love the lines and simplicity of the YJ.
@hanshoeg Mine is red. It's paint is original and in great shape for its age due to yearly waxing and being garaged for the last 18 yrs. It's beautiful. It's got the grey dash. When I bought it new in 1993 at 20 yrs old, I was in love with the red color. Now at 49, I wish I had the dark green color they offered back then. Its also bone stock except for a slightly larger set of tires. It has NO LIFT. I also still have the original OEM wheels and tires in storage.
@@highlonesome7482 very cool. Yes a green Sahara YJ is a great color!! I test drove a 94 green Sahara before I found mine. Had 4.0 manual hard top with a plow. Unfortunately it was too rusty.
Man I’m telling you the white and the tan is for one of the best colour combos. I’ve got a black 2005 TJ which I’m gonna be repainting and getting new seats to make it a Sahara of my own 😂😂 keep up the videos
My 93 had a long ctank issue. It was a failed fuel pump check valve. The check valve keeps the fuel from running back into the tank. A short term fix is to install an inlime check valve. Long term fix is to drop the tank and install a new fuel pump.
Stumbled upon your channel. A great video. Yes, my wife and I have 3 wranglers that we love to drive. We own 93 YJ, 97 TJ, and a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I love all my Jeeps and don't abuse them. All the Jeeps have a different ride and feel. Carry On.
i've got a 2000 in stone white with a spice top. Not a Sahara though. i'm with ya on the chrome accents, and i have never been a fan of the double tube bumpers. Have fun!
