Hello, I have a Kia car and it only has 1 button for the driver's door to automatically pull the window. Can I replace the 4-door automatic window pull button set?. Can it work when replacing that set of buttons?. Or does it need another control module to be able to control all 4 doors automatically? Thank !
Good video, but unhooking the other electrical switch and the two easy disconnect cables makes the job even easier, bc those tiny screws fall all over the place...
Thank you! Your video instructions helped me a lot. There is no such video in our language region. And yes - my Kia Forte had the same problem with the driver's door switch.
Excellent demonstration. I was able to replace mine this morning. I would've have liked it if you showed us how to just change the nob only. The only problem I had with mine is that the non that controls the drivers window broke off. The company said that they dont sell the nob alone so I had to buy the entire master switch and instead of replace the nob only, I replace the entire thing
Cool. The problem is that when showing the actual rocker switch (knob) replacement, it would be a very close-up video and my hands would block the screen. If you get as far as removing the master switch, typically the rocker is no big deal.
Yes, there is a possibility, depending on what has failed within the switch. It is possible that you are able to lower the window and then it refuses to go up.
@@hayes32198 OK. You stated that the reason for switch replacement is due to a broken driver's button. If you bought a (I assume) used switch, and it is the correct one for the vehicle and now none of the windows will move, it would seem that either the replacement switch is bad or incorrect or the wire harness is not making proper contact. You can also do what I did; carefully remove the driver's rocker button from the new switch and install it in the old switch.
You can pull the panel and support it in some fashion. The speaker can then be unscrewed from the actual metal door shell and replaced. Reverse the panel removal and you'll be good. Good Luck!
Thanks for this quick and easy video. Our 2016 Kia Forte we got last year is doing the exact same thing on the driver's window staying down once pressed. It's a shame, my much older 1995 Dodge Ram secondary vehicle's driver electric window still works perfectly fine and that thing has over double the mileage the car does. I guess the gas savings over the truck will offset this inconvenience that's not covered by the aftermarket drivetrain and HVAC warranty we purchased on the car
Was able to use this to fix the switches, but also retrieve a lost $20 bill that had fallen in the door (removed the speaker to get it, don't ask). Thanks!
Hey, if your actual power window rocker switch is the only broken part, you can buy a replacement switch assembly (ebay, junkyard, etc.). Pry the rocker out of the replacement switch and your old switch (the same position as your broken one, as they are different; LF broken, use the LF out of the replacement switch). Snap the "good" rocker back into your old switch. Reinstall switch assembly.
Thanks. On my daughter’s Forte, the auto down has never worked (we bought the car used), but it worked a couple of times recently. I found a new OEM Kia switch on eBay for $44, shipped from South Korea. One tip I’ll add? Magnetize your screwdrivers and bits with a screwdriver magnetizer, and you won’t drop the screws.
Thank you for the video. Do you have any suggestions for changing the buttons on the switch relay? You mentioned that you were going to do that part. How did it turn out? I'm in the same boat with having a replacement part that doesn't have the same action on all 4 switches so I was going to mix-and-match all the parts together to make one relay that works fine. Thanks!
Hey Johnathan. Yes, switching out the individual rocker switch from the used master switch that I bought on ebay, to my existing master worked fine. Just be careful when removing the rocker from the one that you purchase as well as attaching it to your existing master. If you snap it, you'll be back in the same boat.
@@miamitopa Thanks for the reply! I couldn't get the switches off of the old relay for the life of me. Currently the replacement is in the car and I'll continue to fiddle with the original part to see if I can get it disassembled.
Where can i buy those wire harness/cables/connection for minute 4:24? My mirrors won’t work, apparently it was tempered with before i bought the car from a dealership.
The individual buttons are not available. I purchased a used switch on ebay and then swapped the broken over to my existing unit, since mine was working well otherwise.
No entiendo porque no desconecto también el anclaje de la chapa y seguro de la puerta, y la otra ficha de los cables del espejo. En definitiva, sacar la cubierta completa.
Don't remember where I bought mine from, but this is a nice set from Amazon that has many uses.
