Remember, as much fun as it is to have and cherish your riddles, your players just like you are only human, but their characters just like yours are not. c:
This was a big problem even at low to mid levels in 3 and 3.5. Not just rangers, but anyone who wasnt a full progression caster was definitely badly under powered.
..I feel like a lot of rangers forget they have spells too. Like at level 10, you should be summoning a bunch of wolves to fight on your behalf while increasing the amount of bodies preventing from getting hit.
Once I was playing a cleric with a WoW player on the party, that never played dnd 5e before (he was playing a rogue). He was mocking me after a session because I was not spamming "an aura aoe healing effect" and I tried to explain him that doesnt exist on Dnd 5e, healing is very scarce, it was not like WoW, you cure/buff by another ways. But he continued to mock me after all
My efreeti genie warlock got limited wish at level 14, cuz thats not a broken subclass ability, but only ever used it to cast fireball…then at 17th level he got the wish spell and immediately used it to ask that fireball not use a spell slot…the dm agreed. He’s a better evocation wizard now
People don't realize there's a spell called quiver-something. That thing doesn't mean you cast an arrow, you Will be shooting all arrows that ever existed from the very start of everyrhing with the force necessary to penetrate steel plates. Rangers are much more than simple arrows, they are arrows that hurt like a motherfucker
My spouse’s grave cleric refuses to heal anyone unless they are downed because “it’s way more effective to heal them from 0 with my subclass than heal mid battle” 😂
I’m playing a War Domain Cleric in one of my campaigns and I thankfully don’t have to worry about healing. I’m just a tank with Paladin combat and some healing spells *just in case*
Oath of conquest paladin is very fun. My motto is "life is just a dream, and all dreams must end." I am a paladin of the god of death. He loves me very much. Yes, stealth is my weakness with heavy armor, but my genie warlock companion has used me many times as a smiting pokemon.
Idk what’s wrong with me man. I had this Loxodon Druid character and the voice I chose sounded a lot like hermaeus mora from Skyrim, slow paced and deep and wise sounding. The whole party loved it but I got through one line of using the voice and I crumble. I end up feeling embarassed for even trying then I never do it again
