Honestly, the fact that people walk in and out of Nigeria's borders is actually an issue. It is illegal and puts Nigeria and Nigerians in danger by compromising security . That is how some Boko Haram people come in and also escape. Remember that "organisation" does not originate from Nigeria. It is not a good thing for your borders not to be properly manned. In fact it shows lack of care for your country. During lockdown there was a video of thousands of young men trooping into Nigeria, allegedly from a neighbouring country. All at once. How do we know they are not the bandits and kidnappers causing havoc in Nigeria today? Maybe the heartlessness in their crimes is because they are not Nigerian. People need to show more care for Nigeria in that regard. It is not good or cool to allow every Tom, Dick and Harry come in illegally and without any trace. Would you do that with your own home or compound? Of course not. You care about your home abd compound. Things must be done legally and properly. Nigeria is not a dustbin that people can just come in and out not minding immigration procedures or who you aee unleashing on your people.
Nigerians and South Africans please stop this. It is enough now. Our governments are not fighting. Most Nigerians and South Africans are actually not fighting. Please don't take online negative comments too far. Both sides need a lot of introspection and self correction. Hatred never helped anyone. Please this has to stop now. It's enough now. Remember that we have more that binds us than what separates us. Imagine how a child who has mixed Nigerian and SA parentage feels? We are all Africans.
The negative energy between Nigerians and South Africans has to stop. It is so unnecessary. First of all, we actually share the same problems like poverty, youth unemployment, insecurity and a lot more besides. Both sides need to do a bit more introspection and self correction. Do we have good leaders? Do we take responsibility for our actions? Do we have our priorities in a sound way? Are we quick to hate and judge? Do we delude ourselves by highlighting superficial 'development'? Do we invest in our countries? How commited are we to our countries? Do we wish other African countries well (remember karma?) ?
Sis! I can remember in Jos plateau state back then, you will see all this Niger people chasing us on the street beging to an extent harassing citizens at times and some people will give them money while others dont even send them and we never complained or say they should be deported because the were illegal immigrants or cry to the government to deport them why? Because we know in their country at that time they were having economic challenges and thank God they are out of it now. And remember recently how Nigerians stood against Ecowas and FG not to invade Niger because they are our neighbors. Chai Nigerians have good heart
